No, the deleted song is fully animated.

I don't see why they cut that from the film! The song isn't great, but the animation is hilarious! They should have added it to the film in the rerelease!

Did they specify a reason for it being cut ? I had no idea it was fully animated and coloured ! I can't see any possible reason for it being taken out of the realease.

Just think about this, Part of Your World almost didn't make it in to the original movie!

Raindown, I don't think Part Of Your World not being included in The Little Mermaid is on par with Morgana's song being removed from Return To The Sea !!
But yes, The Little Mermaid would be a completley different movie without it ! I've often wondered how they would have scored the film if POYW was removed .... would they still use the score based around that song ? Or would they have to have invented a new theme to the movie ?

Haha true. I have not seen any of the princess sequels but just ordered them to watch when I find the time. I was shocked to find out Ariel had a daughter, a little dismayed almost.

Well, when the film first came out, I thought it was just wonderful that Ariel had a second film, and was totally ovcer-excited by the thought of having another gilmse at Ariel and her world. When viewing the film recently ..... it is quite shocking the lack of quality evidenced in the film sadly

Beautfiul songs though, and it was nice to see Ariel again. By far and away the best sequel is Ariel's Beginning; a wonderful film ! I hope you ordered that one as well ? What other films made it onto your list ?

Yep, I bought the trilogy. It turned out to be expensive for a brand new copy. I also picked up the two Beauty and the Beast ones, Belle's magical world and the Christmas special. I've heard bad thing about Belle's Magical World and slightly better reviews of the Enchanting Christmas. I also bought the two Cinderella sequels. I've also heard better reviews for the third Cinderella over number two.
I'm not expecting much from them but, did want to take a look at them.

Belle's Magical World is one of my least favorite of all the spin-off works. I thought it was dreadful, and for the most part, I am supportive of the sequels, etc.
I really enjoyed Ariel's Beginning and Cind 3, though!

It sucks.
I mean--
Return to the Sea itself is a complete mimic/mockery of the original film (as most all the sequels are). This song is clearly supposed to be Morgana's "Poor Unfortunate Souls," except you have to actually have a good songwriter and lyricist to make a song like that work. This song was just horrible to bear. That Pat Carroll couldn't save it says a lot. But then, most of that movie was terrible, so maybe there was another reason.
Possibly because it only reiterates what the viewer already knows? Or maybe because it's a bit of defamation to Ursula to describe her as a "mean" big sister (with an ugly animated version of her as a little fat girl)?

Don't mean to derail this from TLM2, but I just HAD to share this oldschool UD goodness:

If you have time to spare, someone actually wrote a 24-page review for
Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
And the UD discussion of it all is hilarious:
I'd like everyone to read this (Rant on Enchanted Christmas)

Holy crap. How did I not know that Pee Wee Herman was in The Enchanted Christmas?
But, yeah, I remember that. Fun times. *looks up the posts of that guy writing a TGMD sequel*
I was always confused, because I thought TEC was one of the most tolerable sequels they'd had.

Oh my god, Teede!

That discussion got so wacky that it was moved to Polls & Games (
clickety-click) as it wasn't contributing to Disney Discussion (well, back then it was General Discussion).
Blast from the past!
Who's up for donning trench coats and invading Disney Animation as Irish secret script inspectors?

Hi everybody!
I bought a DVD copy of TLM2 in Miami about 5 years ago. I've been wathching today my edition and I don't know why but it looks fake to me.
Can you help me to guess if it is a fake copy?
In the back of the box says “made in mexico” but the tittle of the film is not written anywhere.
This is the box and the slipcover

Just a question: is the little mermaid II Return to the Sea On iTunes,Amazon Video etc. the original version or is it the special edition version That’s been the standard version from the 2008 special edition DVD onwards? It has altered shots most notably during “Here on the Land and Sea” at the end and during Melody’s Transformation
