Well, who knows? Maybe you'll get yours before Christmas.

It's going to be close, but I'm hoping they will arrive before Christmas. My holidays start on December 24th, so if they haven't arrived by then I'll be able to wait all day beside my tear-stained letter box anxiously waiting for the postie to come... :D

wdwleesa wrote:Is anyone having trouble finding ALL of the Treasures today? I found two of them at Best Buy and after calling EVERY store in our area, I finally found Donald at a Target. Guess my lunch break will be spent running from one store to another. Because I like to have them in my hand, I didn't order online. I'm using Amazon next year, that's for sure!! It's crazy to have to chase them down all over town!!

Yes! I live in Los Angeles metro area, and I went to 3 Best Buys tonight. It is just ridiculous. Everyone one of them had several Oswsalds. I bought the Oswald at the first Best Buy (Los Feliz) and then drove 40 mins. in heavy rush hour traffic to the 2nd Best Buy (Porter Ranch) and got their one and only copy of Donald. Last stop was Burbank Best Buy and all they had was several Oswalds. Walmart in Porter Ranch didn't have them. So at the end of the night, I ended up with Oswald and Donald and no Disneyland. I guess I will try Target tomorrow. I just didn't think to try there at all. If no luck, I am prepared to cross the picket line at the Studios Lot in Burbank to buy it at the Studio store. I know they will have it there for sure since they always have them there for the employees.

I stopped ordering from Amazon because the tins always arrive dented. I gave them 2 chances and even contacted their customer service about this very issue, to no avail. If you don't mind the dents, I would recommend Amazon.

I don't really care about the tins at all.

I pre-ordered Chronological Donald 3 about a month ago (or thereabouts) and it's not in yet (as well as More Silly Symphonies). My Dad works night shift at Zellers so I thought he'd be able to pick the other two up for me after he got off work at 8am, no such luck not a single store in town has ANY treasures  I'm not suprised this is C.R after all, so it'll be a week before I get any of them unless my preorder comes in tomorrow :)

Interesting. I have mine ordered like this:

It's good, because I find it quite logical and easy to locate things.

Took me three stores but got my copy of Disneyland. Two Future shops had none - A&B Sound had one glorious copy.

I was able to get Donald and Oswald at Best Buy. They didn't have Disneyland. I may just get that one online. We will see.

Update: The Disney Studio Store on the lot and the store at Imagineering are Sold out. Both sold out the day they were released. :( I still have no Disneyland tin. I will check some more Best buys and probably give up after that and maybe resort to ordering a dented one from Amazon. If not, I guess they will be appearing on Ebay soon enough. Next year I may just order thru Amazon - this is crazy. :(

I was able to get Disneyland and Oswald at a local store here but their only copy of Donald had already gotten picked by someone else.

I couldn't find Donald anywhere else so I bought it online. I'll get it in a couple of weeks I'll guess.

Hey, Anne

Got Donald Volume 3, Disneyland and Oswald yesterday.
Now I have all the Walt Disney Treasures but the first two waves I have one with tins and one without tins.

Ok, 4 more stores later I still do not have a copy of Disneyland. I am now convinced that I would have had to be at a Best Buy/Target/Studio Store right when it opened, if I was going to get one, and probably have to fight people over them. This afternoon, I went to the Target in Pasadena and they only had 2 Oswalds. I asked an employee walking around with a headset, who looked very authoritative, and he said, "I believe there was a snafoo with the ordering because we never received any Disneyland tins." He said this matter of fact off the top of his head, as if he was familiar with the tins and/or had been asked 20 times before about the tin. So then I hit 2 more Targets - unbelievably they had had all 3 titles there (you could see the discount tag where the DVDs had been before they were all sold out).

So we are talking ONE day later after they were shipped to the stores, and they cannot be purchased anywhere in the general Los Angeles area?! This is ridiculous! Disney made so few of these and shipped so few, they have made it impossible for someone who wants to buy one to get one! What kind of a marketing strategy is this?! Hopefully they are not sold out at Amazon.com, because that's where I'm trying next. I'll just have to live with any dents in the tin. This was the one I had hoped to get the most and now I am going to have to get it in a dented tin.

I'd say the most frustrating part of this was going in to the stores with your hopes up that you might find the Disneyland tin, only to be let down when all you see was another Oswald tin. (Oh and the $15 worth of gas spent driving everywhere) They must have made TWICE as many Oswalds as the other tins, because there is no problem finding an Oswald at any of the Best Buys I went to. My husband says to "put this into perspective." Well I took a half day off work to try and find this tin and I will go back to work tomorrow empty handed. I'm just really frustrated right now and had to let off some steam.....Just ignore me. :(

Sounds like the only place where you can reliably get the DL DVD is Amazon. Trust me, it looks like it's the ONLY way.

The Future Shop here in Kelowna didn't get Disneyland either. HMV had one copy. Don't know if our A&B Sound got it. I take it you got yours at A&B on Yates?

Not that I am bragging or anything, but the Best Buy stores here in Wichita each had 50 copies of each of the three WDT's on Tuesday.

I picked up all three plus "Your Host Walt Disney" from the last wave, and the good part is that I got all four on the 2 for $40 deal.

Next question - have those of you that have Chron Donald Three found all ten of the Easter Eggs? They really aren't that hard to find except for numbers four and eight. And they bring back a lot of memories about the Mickey Mouse Club also.

And the 'toons, oh my gosh, Disney has outdone themselves. While Volume one was pretty good, and volume two was just okay, this one is a nine on a scale of one to ten. The colors just pop out at you, the extras are really great extras, and it is so good to see Donald is all his brilliant glory again. Definitely worthwhile investment.

:)

I know, I just ordered it via Amazon (I used the links here so UD will get something), but now I have this big pit in my stomach because I know the tin will be DENTED and I keep thinking I won't be able to live with the dents... My only other option was to hope the studio store or imagineering store gets in some more and my husband can somehow get there in time but the possibility of success seemed remote... now I'm on pins and needles about the condition of this tin on arrival. I know it sounds silly, but this is the one thing I collect every year and I have an almost dentless collection. The one Pluto I have is dented, thanks to Amazon. So I don't have much faith in them, but I guess it is better to have it in a dented tin than to not have it at all. On the other hand, it was only earlier this year when the entire series was in jeopardy (being discontinued by Disney). I guess we are lucky to get ANY tins.

Pluto Region 1 here some advice:

Next time you go to Best Buy to look for a tin, ask a blue shirt to look up in their system to see if any of the stores around the area had the Disneyland tin? Our product system is linked store to store. That would have saved gas money.

You can also do this yourself on the Best Buy web site:

Go to www.bestbuy.com

Look up disneyland treasure in there search engine.
When you find it, click on it.
Click on Store Pickup: Available at most stores Select preferred store availability
It asks for your zip code or city.

It then tells you the stores it is available at. It also gives there phone number so you can call them and try to reserve your copy or see how many they have in stock.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future when the next wave comes out.

Take care,
Greg
