netty, apparently some people can't accept different ways of thinking from people of some different cultures and personalities, and don't see reyqilas natural boastful and loud pride in ownership as 'normal". He's a prima donna about his purchases, but that's the way he is!. Probably the same as people here showing proud pictures of their babies in their thick wallets

but for some reason, when reyquila does it, some people get "upset", just don't read his posts if you don't like them, and move on!
Oh and btw,
We all know what it looks like. And if you went to Borders, theres a good chance you overpaid.
have you stopped to think, that maybe where reyquila lives, stores like Borders and Suncoast etc may be the only game in town? There's no BestBuys there, and everything is sold at full MSRP except for the first week sale on some places, and Amazon/etc shipping is near "overseas" level.. Just ask Jafar about his ordering online woes.

Thank you. I express myself and everybody attack me!!! Ignore me if you dont like me!! The only problem is some people can't and they throw hard. But I know that's how envy works!!
PS. Regarding buying options in PR, amazon.com operates as in the States including delivery. Toys R Us, Suncoast, Specs, San Goody, Wal Mart, Costco and Sam's are available. Circuit City and Best Buy are coming. So far I've been able to get everything I've wanted with the exception of the Cars Spec. Ed by Target which I was able to acquire through MadonnasManOne.

Some may be envious, for all I know. Some being extremely one-track minded in their posting may also have something to do with it, though. Remember, there are usually two sides to it - at least.

I admire Luke and I'm grateful for his effort

Still doesn't answer the question. Do you consider Luke to be a lesser Disney fan simply because he has less Disney DVDs than you?

Who's talking about being a "big fan". Everyone is a fan, a person with standing is different. My only claim is that there is people that talk with authority and haven't seen the movies. You may speak with authority without owning the movies if you have seen them. For me is easy: I own them all and I have watched them all. There is people that are always critizising because is trendy to hate sequels and they haven't seen 25% of them. I can say I've seen them because I have them. Can you make that claim?
PS. Awesome collection SequelofDisney!!! That's what this is all about!!!

Reyquila, I think you need to give this a rest, because you're not coming across well and it's making you look bad. This thread has been hijacked by your 'boasts' and other posters personal attacks on you, which is a shame.
I'm not taking sides - I'm not criticising anyone. But can we all just move on from this and use the thread for what it's intended - posting pics of your collections.

Can we please let it go? The whole reyquila baiting people with boasts about his collection/people baiting reyquila by trying to reveal faults in his firm beliefs on Disney ownership/one another taking the bait and engaging in arguments that get personal issue seems tired. And while discussion of these ideas is both interesting and welcome, I don't think it's getting anywhere nor is it serving this thread in a positive fashion.
So, please, let us move on.

You may very well be right - unfortunately because certain people apparently must be kept to different standards than others in a debate...

Again, nice collection, Sequel! (I think everyone is so into the whole requila thing, that they sort of skipped over your picture.

 )
anyway...

A woman after my own heart. Totally agree with everything there! And I think you really should pick up the other two, if you can find them at great used prices (I got my Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure for only about $7, and got 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure for $6.66). Plus, the Scamp DVD is pretty good for a direct-to-video title. Has an *audio commentary* and a great 17-minute featurette.
Thanks Escapay! I'm guessing you found them used at somewhere like Gamestop? If so, I will keep my eyes open. Those prices aren't THAT bad...

Brava, brotherbear! Too bad he'll wave it off as "you don't have all of them, so you still have no standing!" and go hump his DVD collection.

I dont' know why, but I found that particularily hilarious.

Luke, I'm really sorry, but I must say at least one more thing to requila. Then I promise I'll be done. That is, for now.

That tells two things: (1) Having 25 dvd is really "brothering" someone and some people try to "escape" from reality by claiming principles in a very simple debate: who's the collector? Me. Because I have what you'd love to own but are refusing to admit that. Collecting is having, that's the difference collecting and loving.
Ok, first off, either you must be blind or you lack in reading comprehension. I clearly stated that I am
perfectly happy and proud of having as many Disney DVD's as I do. And that I worked hard to accomplish that. Are you a collector? I personally believe that you are not. I think you have some mental disability of being over-obsessive. Yes, I do respect you and acknowledge the fact that you have every Disney DVD from Region 1. But for me, even if I had all the money to buy all of the DVD's that you own (through eBay or otherwise) I WOULD NOT spend the money. And that's the honest truth. There might be people here that would in a heartbeat, but I would never watch over half of the DVD's that Disney produces. Maybe once or twice. That's it. At that point, I would have way too many DVD's to watch all of them every couple of years.
What about people who collect original artwork? You cannot possibly expect for someone who collects artwork to be considered a true collector only when he has all of the original works of Van Gogh, or Monet. That just doesn't work. And you might be wondering why I'm randomly interjecting Art Collectors in a subject about Disney DVD's. Well, in my opinion, collecting is still collecting. The only difference is what it is you are collecting. But what stays the same is the word "collecting" itself. It does not matter whether you collect Disney DVD's, Art, Beanie Babies, purses, or silver spoons. They are still considered collectors in every sense of the word and in the minds of every sane person in this world....well, except for requila.

Ok, I'm done. I think I'll try to step away from this topic.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I really have to weigh in now. Reyquila, why can't you stop acting like a jerk. Luke asked you to stop and you still keep adding snide remarks at every opportunity. Just grow up.
I apologise to everyone else, I just can't believe this attitude - and the blatant hijacking of a thread to stroke one's own ego and put others down.

It seems from time to time that the forum will have to accept and live with the occasional "new kid" asking a ton of somewhat stupid questions. For a while - since they usually either go away or "get wiser". In a different case, though, there's unfortunately very little character development to be seen.

BambiFan87, I love your Disney collection! It looks exactly like I'd want mine to be, eventually. The shelf in itself is also a great piece of furniture, it looks so classy!
