Today I picked up the new 15th Anniversary Reservoir Dogs DVD which was quite a surprise since I hadn't heard anything about a new Reservoir Dogs DVD coming out and i had no Idea about it until I was at work today at Target and saw it for $13.78.
It's quite a nice set though, It comes in a tin designed to look like a gas can and when you open it there is a matchbook inside that holds the 2 discs, and the transfer is quite an improvement over the 10th Ann. DVD, In fact I just happened to have watched the old disc last night for the first time on my 50" screen and remembered how bad it looked, It looked really faded and crappy and i just watched the new one and the quality is greatly improved. The new edition also features Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and DTS 6.1 and includes most of the features from the last edition as well as some new ones on disc 2 and loses the lame Full Screen Version from the last edition. Now if only Maramax would release a special edition of Kill Bill.
Oh, And whats this Saw II Special Edition I've been hearing about? I've heard it mentiond at least twice today but I didn't see it at work today and I looked on amazon and found nothing, What's on it? Does it include an Unrated Cut?

I think the Best Buy Saw II Uncut Edition is better since it has a 2 Disc set while it looks like Circiut City Saw II Special Edition doesn't.
I went to Best Buy and got Saw II Uncut Edition it has a really cool lenticular cover but no insert or movie ticket for Saw III.
I'm planning on seeing Saw III this weekend...

Over the Hedge (full screen...d'oh!

) - $19.99 at Wal-Mart
I don't know why my family picked that one up, but I'm sure that this film will be worth the watch. Although, that was totally unexpected from them as well as the day before halloween. The bad thing is that they bought the full screen version instead the widescreen version! Oh well, I can watch the full screen version as long as I won't complain about it.

No, I forgot and told my sister and they told her it's only for the single disc DVD. I knew they were lying but I wasn't there. I was at school at the moment. Probably go tomorrow after class if they don't have any well to bad. But really who cares about 60 minutes of bonus material...

60 minutes for a store-exclusive bonus disc is a STEAL. Most store-exclusives only offer like...a couple trailers and a 5-minute featurette. The only other time I saw this much in a store-exclusive was Wal-Mart's Fantastic 4 bonus disc, a 50-minute documentary, and Wal-Mart's Wallace & Gromit bonus disc, which had all the Crackin' Contraptions (23 minutes), a 15-minute featurette about Wallace & Gromit, a 9-minute featurette about the Were-Rabbit, and a hodgepodge of kiddie stuff that was actually worth the bonus disc alone.

Okay, I found out that at Best Buy they displayed Mission Impossible III with the 2 Disc and bonus material on the back wrap with the DVD at the other side of the DVD section.
I went to get JFK and Enter the Dragon both were 2 Disc sets which came out to be $19.99 buy one get one free plus tax...
So probably just return the other one that I got yesterday.

In the mail today I got a real surprise.
The Cars Unlocked - 2-disc set came and it was autographed by Ric Ocasek. This was a surprise because it was in February or March of this year that I had Ric in the van coming to our Hotel and we had talked about the lack of DVD releases of The Cars older material.
Well, this one has it all. One disc is a DVD with over 20 songs recorded live in concert with lots of home movie footage between songs and lots of little visual things pertaining to The Cars. The second disc is the only live concert ever recorded by The Cars and it is really amazing to hear much they sound like the records live. Ric Ocasek was a genius and I have already sent a thank you note to him for this gift.
