I just watched the alternate pilot episode on Avatar:the Last Airbender. Man, these things are always different. Characters come and go, designs are changed, some characters are re-named, and different methods are used.

Of note are a few ideas that ended up in the series, the low-budget animation(characters are off-model like every other shot at least), and the fact that Mitchel Musso voiced Aang, before being replaced by Zack Tyler-Moore(I think that's his name?).

A worthwhile inclusion, definitely.

I checked out the sneak preview to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on my Blu-Ray of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. While I am glad they are splitting the movie into two films, I don't know how well it will follow the book.

I just saw the teaser online and...total I was expecting something a little more epic in scope given that it's the final book of the series!

Ummm, they are still shooting the films, so your criticism has no ground yet.

Also, The screenwriter on OOTP was bad, but Deathly Hollows is still two parts. Enough of this! The movies are NOT the books, they are RETELLINGS. They are their OWN things. If you can't see that, epic fail to you.

Epic fail to you because these aren't re-tellings. I'm sorry, but wtf?

And ummm, how does how the trailer look coincide in any way with if they're still filming or not? It's barely a teaser trailer, anyway.

I watched all of the original Disneyland TV episodes. Swear to God I didn't know Peggy Lee performed the "Siamese Cat" song. Walt didn't look as old as I remember him looking in the 50's. Huh. They were okay. Oh and this is worth mentioning... on my newly arrived Platinum Edition yesterday, Disc 2 won't work on Region 1-only players. Even though the disc says NTSC right on it and everything. So I had to scramble to find a DVD player in the house that would play non-Region 1 DVD's. Turns out there are 4 (). I had a major crisis thinking only my computer's DVD-ROM played region 2 or whatever-region discs. So, the first player I tried was CyberHome because everyone knows they play all regions. But also... nobody owns a CyberHome player anymore. Because they all freaking break / refuse to work after maybe 18 months. So I tossed that f-in' thing out on the porch and it's going down to the town dump pretty soon. Then found a Sanyo and that player plays region 2 discs. So now I'm set. And hell, if I want to now I can go get all kinds of region 2 DVD's. YAY (Creepshow: 2-Disc Universal-Studios' released Special Edition YO!!).

Anyway, also watched I think 4 of the featurettes in the big new making-of documentary. And like The Little Mermaid one, it actually feels like a real documentary. REALLY heavy on the sugary nostalgia and sentimentality. But I finally found out (D'UH- didn't you ever read the name moron?) one of the guys who's in many of these featurettes is Frank Thomas's son. No wonder they're both so good-looking; they're related. Anyway, not very much magic but it was okay. Very woody. The writing on the barn part was interesting. Tried to watch the part with the storyboards but I can't watch people trying to recreate a pitch when they're not Disney and the original animators. The whole "Art of the Storyboard" thing was terrible. I mean... they went nuts interviewing people who had nothing to do with the movie. Kevin Costner? What a nutcase! And they went into so much detail on The Birds, I started thinking this was the Universal 2-Disc Legacy Edition of Alfred Hitchcock's movie.
