I know  I'd get a job there if I lived closer. How much do they pay anyway??

I was in Merchandise (meaning I was a cashier), and I got paid $7-something an hour, if I remember correctly. When I graduate, if I decide to apply there, I'll probably get an office job or something (I really don't know)...something that isn't cashiering or fast food or something...basically, something you need a degree for.
The pay is pretty competitive with other jobs of the same type (cashiering, fast food, etc.). I quit because I have tummy problems and jobs that make me stand up for 8+ hours, if I have a stomach ache, make it a lot worse....

As I mentioned in the Cindy 3 thread, I saw Cinderella 2 yesterday and this dawned on me...Could these new Princess Enchanted Tales be like Cindy 2 in terms of quality in storytelling and animation?

I bring it up because as I was watching the first Cindy story I thought; "Hey, I think we just saw Cinderella's Enchanted Tale!".

Seriously, if you look at it, the story is very similar to the Enchanted Tales concept (short stories with the Princesses that teachers a moral). We have Cinderella on her first days as a princess. She tries to play by the rules and realizes that she works better when she follows her heart and does things her own way. The lesson of the story is that sometimes changes can be good and that if you follow your heart everything will be right.

Don't know about you, but that sounds like an Enchanted Tale to me...

Well, Cinderella 2 was supposed to be a T.V. show, so the quailty levels were very low. But seems to me that Enchanted Tales have a higher quailty.

While I do believe that Enchanted Tales will be of higher quality I think the concepts will be similar in execution. Like I said, Cinderella's first story in Cindy 2 could easily be presented as an enchanted tale.

action princesses

Now that Shrek III offers us the Fairytale Five (5 princesses acting as action heros), the question is how much Disney Merchandising will be tempted to follows a similar path with its princesses.

Right now Jasmine seems far and away the most action-oriented princess (one Aladdin episode had her punching out the camera!), with Esmerelda (yes, she's considered a Princess, but for some reason not merchandised as such) a close second.
But given the good reception Cindy III's action-izing received, I suspect we'll soon see a lot more princess activity going beyond twirling in ball dresses and ballerina dancing!

And Kida but some reason despite her being "most recent made princess so far", not consider one.

Then how do you explain Disney's 2-disc sets?
yes, but those are on films that have a wider adult audience. for single-disc, straight to DVD movies they tend to stick to kiddie fare.

Are those dolls the "Enchanted Tales" ones, too?

They are wearing the gold dresses like in the pictures:

If you are a regular Disney Store customer, you may have noticed how often they re-package old action figures to look like a new product. After the death of the Disney Heroes souped-up action figure series, the Peter Pan and Captain Hook figures were repackaged with Platinum Edition packaging, despite the fact that they have a much different appearance than they do in the movies. Also, they've repackaged the old Power Rangers in the new Operation Overdrive packaging, despite them being from completely different series' and teams.

:D YAY! Princess Jasmine is finally going to prove herself just as capable as all the other Princesses. She is the only Princess who isn't the focus of her movie and that sucks cause it means she's always been saved by Aladdin even though she is so clearly capable to look after herself. This new DVD will help to redefine her in my opinion.

However I am sad because although I want to see all the volumes and Jasmine's new solo story I really want to hear the entire version of 'The Look In His Eyes' which is from the original Sleeping Beauty Suprise Birthday Party story which now won't appear till the second volume or, if Disney are mean, two or three volumes down the track.

I know this sounds really silly since it only goes for 30 seconds in the preview but could someone make a clear MP3 copy of Aurora's new song from the Cinderella III Sneak Peak. I love it so much I want to listen to it every day till the DVD comes out!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

For example, does anyone have this, but in English? As I would LOVE to hear it! As I know Jodi does Ariel and Belle in the House Of Mouse, so it will be interesting to hear her as Belle as well.

Really? So you can't see any trailers of that website?

I listened to that clip and I think that Paige does Belle's voice and in the cast members she appears as Belle.
Ariel - Jodi Benson
Belle - Paige O'Hara

But in the TV series I think Jodi does Belle and Ariel's speaking voices.

And if it doesn't work for you, can you see the preview of "Peacock Princess" of Jasmine's Enchanted Tale?

ahh right! I'm glad Paige came back to voice Belle in it! Thank you for telling me!

I can see the 'Peacock Princess', it's just this one that doesnt seem to work! :( Do you think the trailer will be anywhere else?

Of all the Disney princesses, as I recall, only two have had several TV series, sequels _and_ a host of other vehicles to showcase their characters:

First place:
Jasmine (two sequels, TV series (2 or 3 seasons (?) - I worked on one), upcoming short story).

Second place:
Ariel (one sequel, TV series (2 or 3 seasons (?)), upcoming sequel.)

Without TV series;

Third Place:
Belle (2 sequels), Cinderella (2 sequels)

4th Place:
Mulan (1 sequel), Esmerelda (1 sequel), Pocahontas (1 sequel).

Runners Up:
Aurora (upcoming short), Snow White (unknown)
