To me,this movie moved a little slowly.

It was still great,though!

Well, I thought the crabs effect was pretty cool, actually, and it made sense given her powers, but I did want to have a fuller closure of what happened between her and Davy Jones (which was part of the story from DMC as well - she pretty much laid that out right from the beginning in her first scene). Like you, I was hoping for one last look at her as the ocean or wind or something. I absolutely LOVED the scene when she was in the brig, but it left me hungering for SO much more about them.

Oh yea. The audience was like "whooooooo!" I'm actually surprised that you, a straight teenage male, would not be...into that. It was too sexy for the screen? For a teenage boy?

And when she was released, the part I most loved was when she went back and like, gave that sigh of relief, as she was being relieved from her bodily prison.

As for what she said, I was almost positive it was some other language, and I even thought to myself: "When I watch this thing on DVD I'm subtitling it to see what she says!" But usually the subtitles for something like that will be [undeterminable language] or [ancient language]. I'm serious, it's happened to me in similar situations. And if she speaks English, it quite possible the subtitle could say [angry dialogue] or something. Sometimes they want something to be a mystery and have people work to find it. Like hidden Mickey's, maybe...

She's the Goddess of the Sea. She IS the Sea. So she controls it, and whatever's in it. A little thing like dissolving into thousands of crabs, which are part of the sea, is easy for her.

Hmm, yeah, could be. I was just wondering if maybe I wasn't hearing it right. It seemed to be an important line, but the way it was done made it confusing.

The adults completely understood the look on her face, and Will's kissing of her leg.

Love can be very rewarding and wonderful, but it can also be very painful and bittersweet.

I found it very romantic. And intimate.

I know what you meant, but Naomie Harris isn't American. She's Black British, or more specifically British African-Caribbean (her mother's Jamaican, her father's Trinidadian). No worries, though. Just a friendly reminder that ethnicity and nationality aren't always the same.

My whole family is British African-Caribbean! (specifically Barbados), so the accent wasn't too hard for me to understand at all. But unless you're exposed to it all the time like I am, I can see where it could be a little difficult. I think Naomie Harris did a wonderful job with her role, and wish there were more role models like her in movies today.

Maybe she'll play a role in the next movie? I hope so....like I said before - just as long as they leave the Will-Elizabeth story behind.

I agree, if you're not exposed much to the Caribbean accent, it can be a little hard to follow, but to me it's not much more difficult than following Yoda's method of speaking. Fortunately I've been exposed to it enough in life to not be a complete novice when it comes to hearing it.

Hope as we might, I rather doubt it. Even Naomie Harris is saying that although it was enjoyable, the time commitment from the shoot was huge and it's time for her to move on as an actor. http://www.popmatters.com/pm/news/artic ... o-dye-for/

I am a kid. As I have said many a time I am 15. But while I was thinking of it as sweet the first showing it was one of the only scenes that I had a drastic change and dislike of come my second showing. Re-watching Black Pearl & Dead Man's Chest I feel that any other love scene with Will and Liz was better than that. Perhaps I have been corrupted by immature `kids`.

Perhaps. And it wasn't a slam against you; the comment just seemed to reflect inexperience and a lack of understanding of the little nuances of what it's like to be in love and with one's beloved. To me, the wearing of his boot, the knee kiss, and her expression were all familiar emotional territory, as I've been there before myself. Such actions may not make much sense to you at 15 (especially given that you're a male), but in 10 or 20 years, after you've had some life experience (hopefully) and been in love, they'll make perfect sense to you.

They had consummated their relationship. She was wearing some articles of his clothing and he needed them back for his 10 year voyage. As a woman, I found the scene to be even better than a kiss on the lips. Every movie has done that. The kiss there was far more steamy than a lip lock.

I loved the ending. All around. I thought it was bittersweet and perfect. I thought it left the door open for another film if some of them want to do another one, but that there was enough closure that if the franchise ends here it's okay, too.

I find that repeated viewing has really even endeared the movie further to me - you catch a bunch more stuff the second time through!

Did everyone stay for the scene after the credits? I loved that, because you could interpret it in different ways, and because it did show that they came back to each other after all, whether it was permanent or not. I thought it was so sweet. (And the little boy was adorable!)

Yeah, I've been wanting to watch it again, but haven't had the chance to. May I ask, (I didn't have the chance to watch it), what the after credits scene was?

It's Elizabeth and her son waiting for Will to return for his one day on land that he gets every ten years.
It's a sweet scene, although Elizabeth doesn't seem to have aged at all during ten years and the son looks like the kid that is hanged at the beginning of the movie. But still, it is nice to see that scene, as it gives Will and Elizabeth a better ending.
