Dreamworks new logo is CGI. In hand drawn features you need to have lead animators for each character, and each of them needs a team of animators, and all of them need dozens of clean up artists and in-betweeners. This isn't just "click and drop" like with CGI animation.

Tiana will most likely be CG and animated at WDAS' Vancouver studio and the 2D crew at the main studio will do the cel-shading/line-work, if even that.

Or Eric Goldberg animates the whole thing because he seems to be the only that can actually deliver quality work at this point.
Wishful thinking I know!

Better hope that's the case since he seems to be more closely involved with Tiana than we think based on his "we can't talk about it yet because it's still under wraps" comments.

Sotiris, please stop thinking Tiana will be CGI. People like Skyler Shuler have said in the past it will be hand-drawn and the year of a delay is enough to give me hope every day and night that it will be now that Lasseter's gone and Eric Goldberg's been training 2D animators.
So, do me a favor, stop being cynical and please try to be optimistic.

But it's not like hand-drawn animation is harder to do than CGI, if all you're using is pencil, paper, ink, and watercoloring.

People really need to stop thinking Tiana will be cel-shaded animated, when they have flimsy and maybe faulty evidence to prove their point.
See, if it was still coming out in 2023, maybe you'd be right.
But with it delayed to 2024, likely December 2024 to ring in the 15th Anniversary of The Princess and the Frog, that means a year is enough time to make it fully hand-drawn animated if Eric Goldberg is involved.
And I say that because the people being interviewed for the Chip n Dale movie say it would have taken an extra year to make Chip, Gadget, Zipper, and Monty hand-drawn animated.
So, since Tiana has an extra year to get worked on before hitting Disney+, it gives me hope it'll be hand-drawn animated.

So they’re just gonna draw for commercials now? I mean… that’s how Eric Goldberg started out so he’s going full circle.
Still hoping they’re just practicing for a feature.
I can dream I guess…

I doubt it's only for commericals. As I said, many times, I feel there is a reason Tiana was delayed to 2024 (late 2024, maybe), and that's because it'll be a fully hand-drawn series. I refuse to give up hope, even if people like Sotiris have given up hope.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disney World is also slated to open in 2024. The postponement could be as simple as the show comes out the same week as the ride or something. The show animation being a mystery, I wonder if they're animating new scenes of Explorer Tiana for the theme park ride (like they did with Mushu at the drawing stations many years ago, etc.)
I like the Oswald advertisment, but I'd love to see commercials for brands that aren't so expensive. Yeah, guess Disney's gotta maintain exclusivity...

Well, we'll see what happens. I still feel an extra year delay for Tiana means they're making sure it's hand-drawn animated. Otherwise it would've still come out as planned in 2023 like Chip n Dale's movie was for 2022 and they said an extra year on that movie would have made Chip and the rest of the Rescue Rangers hand-drawn animated.

That ad triggers me, visually. I've always hated that cheap bevel and emboss lighting effect that tends to get used. for me it can ruin otherwise nice animation.

Disappointing news.

Here's hoping Sergio will be able to find the project another home.

That's a shame. Yes, I hope he can continue developing the project at another studio or start a totally new one.
