Disney Duster wrote:I bet we contribute to causes that hate us all the time without knowing it.
That would be bad enough so why contribute to a cause that you know does hate you?

To be free from all the restriction it would cause if you knew how many places "hated you" and you can't go to a loooot of places.

What other companies do you know to be homophobic? In my experience, companies don't hate you as long as you're putting money into their pockets but if I knew that a company was using that money to discriminate against gay people then I would never give them another penny.

Yeah Duster, to be honest even I don't get your logic you're sprouting.
I was going to stay out of this topic and argument since this is not something I'm well familiar with as much, but after reading on what you been saying even I'm like, "Seriously?! Are you for real?"

I'm just trying to live. Just leave me alone about this. I might eat there I might not, unless someone proves to me that what I'm doing actually will get anti-gay laws past in a world that accepts gays more and more, I see no actual effect of me eating there.

I'm not attacking you, it's just that what you're saying is at odds with the standpoint you've taken in the past where you've been very vocal in your support of equality for gay people. Obviously it's up to you if you want to continue eating at that particular restaurant and you're well within your rights to do so but I think people are questioning what you've said because the company in question is discriminating against gay people and because of your stance on that.

I can still be for equality and still eat there. It is not impossible. I don't wanna talk about this anymore.

It's just a bit hypocritical, that's all.

What you're really saying here is that you've lost the argument, but don't want to admit it. I only looked over this thread moments ago and I'm baffled that you're still going to eat at Chick-Fil-A; aren't they donating to organisations that try to 'cure' homosexuals? What is wrong with you?!

That's exactly it. Because for Duster, of ALL people, to back down from a debate? That's unheard of!!

Is there real proof they donate to trying to cure people of being homosexual?

^They have been proven to have given several million to EXODUS International, which is an ex-gay therapy group.

Well, then I guess I will decide not to go to Chick-fil-A then. But I will say it will be hard. Why? Well because I'm in a depression at the moment and restrictions on what things I can do to make me happy is so against what I need right now, but I will try.

You know,
Disney Duster, if you really want to eat Chick-fil-a food, now you can make it at home.
Chicken Nuggets
Chicken Sandwich
Coleslaw
Chicken Salad
Chicken and Raisin Salad
The waffle fries are just waffle cut french fries with the skins still on them fried in peanut oil.

In that case you need to stay FAR away from any fast food restaurant.
Healthy foods and exercise are the number 1 cure for depression. Chick-Fil-A will make you feel worse trust me.

Haha, thanks guys. The most I miss from Chick-fil-A would be there cookies and cream milkshakes actually. I don't really care much about them I just wanted freedom to eat there if I wanted to.
When you're depressed, food is a thing that makes you happy because it requires no mental effort, and there's endorphin releasing I believe.
But actually I have been eating more vegatables and I think some healthier foods. And I go on walks a lot. The only thing missing is gym-type excercise. Thanks everyone.

Did anyone else have a gay-gasm watching the Spice Girls at the closing ceremony for the Olympics last night?! I DID!!! I was SOOO HAPPY!!!! I was a HUGE Spice-fan during their time. And I was so sad their reunion tour didn't come anywhere near me

God, seeing them perform last night only made it even more clear that they NEED to get back together!
