Actually Cinderella could talk to all the animals, but it was only the mice that could really talk. but there is no explaination for it, or why no one else can understand them ( as far as we know....).

Atlantis wrote:It really annoys me how Disney has gone about this dvd. I got it yesterday and its so stupid they didnt put out a standard 2disc dvd version. Even the Blu-ray was standard! And now they have 2disc BluRays instead? I just went with the standard dvd version and then they gave it a cheap disc (I really hate it when they just put the name engraved in a dvd instead of a picture on it)
Agreed. They're basically shoving the Blu-ray down our throats, and not putting any effort towards the DVD. (I've really got nothing against Blu-ray, I just don't want to re-buy all of my DVDs.)

Exactly as expected- now how long can it hold that rank? And ouch, I just saw "New Moon" on the amazon.com "Great Deals in DVD" ticker....

Only the single Blu-ray Disc will get this cover though. The 3-Disc-Set will be the same as the US-one, but without the yellow border.

Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Princess-Frog-B ... 60&sr=8-12

And its not the same Europe gets a great cover the Americas don't. When Cinderella came out, France got a 1 and 2 disc edition. THe 2 disc was the same cover, but the one disc set had this one:

http://www.amazon.fr/Cendrillon-Clyde-G ... 715&sr=1-2

Is this the most on-model Cinderella has ever been on merchandise since the late 80s??? Go France!

Wow, the British cover is amazing! Dr. Facilier actually looks like a villian!

Meh, it's alright but I think the US cover is a tad bit better only because I dont like how Louis consumes the entire bottom half.

I'm also relieved that the yellow border around the slipcase is the glimmering reflective kind, so it doesnt look so bland.

I think I purple glimmering border would've been much cooler though. 8)

Is that the actual UK cover and not just a mock up?? I don't like it much, I would prefer the same cover as the US

It's selling better than New Moon? I knew the DVD sales would be awesome, but not this awesome. That's really great!

No, those numbners were from before New Moon was released but:
The Princess and the Frog, per Home Media Magazine, came in #2 against Twilight: New Moon:

Walt Disney Studios’ The Princess and the Frog, rode its $104.3 million box office gross to a No. 2 debut on both sales charts. Nielsen research shows that 17% of the weekend sales tally for New Moon came from the Blu-ray Disc, while Princess generated 22% of its first-week sales from Blu-ray.

Well, that's still very good. I'd say Disney's much happier about the DVD sales than the theater grosses.

Don't Disney home video releases tend to sell well regardless of how they did in the theaters? Treasure Planet comes to mind. If so, you would hope that Disney would keep that in mind and not be disappointed whenever their latest film isn't the enormous blockbuster they were planning on.
