This reminds me that I really wish WiR had been a musical.
Anyway, in
Frozen news, it looks like the movie will stand pat at #8 for the weekend, with a fantastic hold for both the week ending Sunday as well as just the weekend. By my numbers, it should be able to pass $400 million before the end of the month, perhaps even by March 23rd assuming the Blu-ray/DVD release doesn't hurt it too much. It should also be able to remain in the Top 10 through next weekend, and perhaps longer.
And with Japan getting the movie on Saturday, my numbers have
Frozen passing TS3 for #1 animated WW and entering the Top 10 WW all-time by March 30th, and $1.1B in mid- to late-April.

Yes she would be a great choice as well!
I am biased because I love Legally Blonde the Musical so much (it resonates with me in many ways), but I would love it if Laura Bell Bundy voiced a Disney character. She was an understudy for both Amber from Hairspray and Glinda from Wicked, was the lead in LBtM, and IMO she has a lot of gusto.

we still do hand drawn animation... which we use to create the cgi films
I said it once, I said it again and I'll keep on saying it.
Waste. Of talent. And potential!

Someone put "Let it Go" through Google translate to various languages and then back again to English. Hilarity ensues.

Am I the only who doesn't want Laura Osnes to be a Disney princess?
Don't get me wrong, she has an AMAZING voice... but her voice is just too similar to Anna's...
It's a typical Princess voice and I'd honestly much rather a unique voice like Jodi Benson, Paige O'hara, or Idina Menzel.
That's just my opinion. For Giants, I really hope that they put the focus on a guy..
I'd love to see a fairytale whose main storyline revolves around a guy, like Aladdin.

Yes ! This so much !
Maybe for a Princess in Frozen 2
Elsa's girlfriend ? or Giants ?
Either way, Laura Osnes would be fantastic as a Disney Princess !
I'll laugh if they make her a Disney Princess in Frozen 2 and she ends up having a relationship with Santino's Hans lol 8D

Yeah same here, we need another Aladdin like movie, rather than just spamming out Princesses for that collection.
Prince Jack.

I was just thinking (whilst sat at my desk, not having a very successful day

) what the heck would Elsa eat in her ice palace? Snow cones?! I'm all for the "I'm alone and free" bit, but come on, what would she be cooking on ? A hearth made out of ice ?!
I'm sorry, but has really tickled me this afternoon thinking about it.

There were some hypotheses about this here:

With her magic and a little practice, it really wouldn't be that difficult.

I. Am. DYING.
Also, I dunno if it was mentioned but Demi Lovato is touring her newest album and does Let It Go during the show. I went to see it tonight on Long Island and she did a whole introduction about how she can't believe she covers an Oscar-winning song from an Oscar-winning movie, and mentioned how talented Idina Menzel was (I loved that part mainly cuz I fangirl for Idina). The entire crowd went nuts and was belting out the song with her, word-for-word. It was cool to see just how huge this movie is!
Here's a clip of the song I took on my iPhone (via Instagram):

South Korea Blu-ray 3D + 2D
Man, not only does South Korea get 3D and we don't, but they also get the slipcover artwork I was hoping
Frozen would get. Disney used a decent cover for TLM, but a gorgeously beautiful cover for TLM 3D, so I was hoping for the same with
Frozen. Here's hoping if and when Disney releases a 3D Blu-ray domestically, it gets this same artwork on the slipcover. And at the very least, a reflective / holographic cover like TLM3D, but I might as well wish for the impossible and hope they bring back lenticular slips.

I agree. That's probably my favorite of the promo images they had for the film. It would've been gorgeous as a cover.

Let It Go enters the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100!!!
First song from a WDAS movie to enter the top 10 since
Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas!
Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" soars into the top 10
After their well-received live performances at the Academy Awards, broadcast on ABC on March 2, Pharrell Williams' "Happy" and Idina Menzel's "Let It Go," the latter of which won best original song honors, both shine on the Billboard Hot 100. The former leads the list for a third week, while the latter blasts into the top 10, vaulting 17-9.
Menzel likewise translates Oscars exposure (and, of course, the pop culture frenzy over John Travolta having flubbed her name when introducing her performance) into Hot 100 gains, as "Let It Go," from the "Frozen" soundtrack, bounds 17-9 to become her first Hot 100 top 10. "Go" jumps 5-4 on Digital Songs (185,000, up 42%), with sales accounting for two-thirds of the song's chart points. Still, it soars in streaming, too, charging 14-7 on Streaming Songs (4 million, up 25%).

Hey, how come when Elsa became the snow queen, even with the line in her song "A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the queen (by the way isn't that amazing that they make it so at first she says a kingdom of "ice" and then "olation" to make "isolation", because she makes a kingdom of ice!), she didn't make herself a new crown? She could have kept her old one but I get that she ditched it because she didn't feel she was queen of the kingdom that crown belonged to now. I thought maybe she didn't make her own crown out of comfort and practicality, but then she wouldn't wear those high-heeled shoes. So I think the snow queen should have made a snow crown for herself. Yes I know, then we wouldn't have the moment at the end credits, lol, but you know what I find to be a dilemma here.
