Well, the new poster is my favorite poster of all of the posters released. As for the preview of the scene, it`s alright enough, but the feel and the tone of it doesn`t exactly feel like Disney. Frankly, Kaipo Dudoit as David is growing on me. But he still looks too young for the part. As for the TV spot, I liked it (despite how it was unsurpsinging that We Will Rock You was played). But the tone of the TV spot is on the same par with the clip.

Wow Stitch broke into Disney HQ and destroyed Disney and its associates (20th Century Studios, Pixar's ball, Marvel Studios).

I suppose that this transmedia marketing is just part of the Lilo & Stitch schtick, but it definitely doesn't feel the same or feel as effective as it did back in 2002. By this point, it's just old hat. I'm reminded more of the princesses in "Ralph Breaks the Internet" than Stitch crashing the chandelier in Beast's ballroom.
Oh dear goodness, the fact that I now live in a world where I can talk about the good old days like this. Excuse me, folks. I'm off to oil my walker.

Its because they aren't doing any real cross overs here. They are borrowing props, and dollar store versions of characters rather than the genuine article.
A d real cross over would require actors like Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud, Halle Bailey, and Emma Watson as their characters to do a scene with stitch.

I'm sure that's part of it. But even if they did hypothetically get Mena or Halle to film new stuff, it just wouldn't be as funny in my book simply because the landscape is just so different. The joke feels less edgy in the context of today's cross-media world what with a movie like "Spiderman: No Way Home" roping together three different Spidermans (Spidermen?) and it being like a tentpole film. Stitch transgressing the barriers that kept the Fab 4 movies as separate islands in the Disney canon was solid shorthand Stitch being this disruptive agent in his world. Today, those barriers are already so thin that this joke just doesn't have the same spark.

On set, the dynamic between Maia Kealoha, who plays Lilo, and her cobalt co-star was far more civil. Kealoha worked opposite a Stitch puppet on set to build the bond between the characters – and found him as adorable as you’d expect. “Even on days when we weren’t shooting them in the same scene together, she would insist on giving him a kiss goodnight,” the director remembers.
Okay ... that gets me a little.

Perfect description for their new agenda. Like Back then it was storytelling and characters, now its brand recognition and franshises.

The only way to make them learn is for to let their soulless remakes to flop and to have a worthy competitions who releases hit after hits. Dreamworks would be the closest competition, but even they are really inconsistent with their qualities.

I could live with this movie tiding Disney over to boost up the losses from Snow White, and possibly ELIO as well.
I mean, best case for me is ELIO being their surprise hit, but I've learned not to get my hopes up with these things.
Also ... that comment about Jasmine.

Primark is already making merchandise from this movie. I saw a phone cover last Saturday. The artwork on it was a render of Stitch's LA version. In the label there was a circle and inside it was written "from the live-action movie".
They have what they wanted. A new version of the character to sell as much merchandise as they can.

New Japanese poster.

Stitch looks out of place. The CGI is pretty evident. They could have used some kind of puppet or at least they could have done a better job editing the renders for the movie posters.
The sun is also behind them but it seems that the light from the torches is more potent Thant the light that comes from the sunset... It's obvious that they are not spending much effort and time creating the marketing for this movie because they know that it's going to be a huge success without any kind of effort.

Lilo and Stitch is probably my favorite Disney animation movie, I have so much love for this movie (first time I went to a cinema)
But god the hawaii scenes look so soulless, the surf and wave visuals are so damn colorless and grey
There are countless of hawaii movies and shows that have the islands full of colors, and the freaking DISNEY MOVIE FOR KIDS barely has any colors
What's with the color grading

To be honest, it`s not a bad poster. But it still seems and feels contrived, due to how they`re trying to replicate an animated pose.

Agree. I thought they were on good track with PiB2 and Wild Robot (still havent seen it lol) but then they release Kung Flop Panda 4 and this horrible Shrek 5 teaser chewing on memes and its giving Ralph Breaks the Internet all over again.

I would say Sony would be Animations biggest competition rn, they are even more consistent than Pixar

Yeah he looks more like he belongs in some Cg animated movie from WDAS rather than a realistic live action CG creature. I guess cute Disney was afraid Kids would think Stitch looks too scary and simplified his shape and Design.

I like it, it's super cute. I think it would have been better if Stitch was on the other side of the hammock, opposite Lilo.
