He probably didn't get around to it yet or didn't receive a review copy.

Hey, what do we do if we don't own this edition of the movie but want to fix the end of "Something There"? Can we still call them and get them to fix it and do replacement discs?
DisneyFan09 wrote:Disney Duster wrote:But he reviewed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Walt Disney Signature Collection.
Yeah, but that wasn't a fall release and he usually reviews winter releases. Sorry to nitpick.
Ohhh ok. Well let's hope he does Fall releases now.

Thanks for pointing that out! I love that Disney is finally doing the titles right again!

Why does Bambi and Fantasia get the "Walt Disney" and other Walt era movies are only "Disney" on the site? Interesting. I would think they would keep it consistent with all films being just "Disney" for branding.

I think they just stuck the previous logos on there. The previous releases for Bambi/Fantasia/Pinocchio were all released when they still had "Walt" attached to the logo.
And it's interesting that they stuck all the current Diamonds in the "Available Now" section. I mean, obviously it makes sense given that the movies are available now. But just because they aren't the Signature editions.

Um.... Okay. Why didn't they release Pinocchio and Lady and the Tramp last year when they had the chance?! I mean, it would've been perfect because last year was Pinocchio's 75th anniversary and Lady and the Tramp's 60th fell last year!

I'm hoping for Fantasia and The Lion King, they re-add all the vaulted special material. And for The Lion King, hopefully they fix the cloud error in the restoration. Hopefully, Fantasia and Peter Pan will get better restorations, at least in terms of color. Of course, I don't expect any of this to actually happen.

Okay, what exactly was wrong with the colors in Fantasia and Peter Pan?

Fantasia isn't a favorite of mine so I'm not too familiar with its situation but I've heard that about half of the segments are colored correctly while the other half aren't. As for Peter Pan, it's had so many different variations, but everyone agrees that the platinum DVD was horrendous. The diamond edition looks pretty similar with just a mild improvement. Hook's coat has always been bright red, not deep red (the opposite case of Gaston btw) while Peter Pan's outfit was always green rather than the brownish-green he gets now. Also besides the colors, people said that the restoration for the blu-ray (and platinum DVD) basically eliminated a lot of details like the pixie dust. Here's some screenshot comparisons.

The 1990 Laserdisc and 2002 Special Edition DVD are the ones considered most accurate typically.

Peter Pan's restoration was horrible, I agree! The colors bleed sometimes on screen. That needs to be fixed. Also the characters are to pale in some shots.

Looks like a
Pinocchio: Signature Collection release will arrive
January 24th, 2017.
Blu-ray.com
EDIT: Also found
this, looks reliable but no idea if that's linked to the new release.

I thought Fantasia was on the B-chord vault films along with Alice and Dumbo, a Dimaond/Platinum that got announced but never happened. I know the film is on Netflix.
Well, atleast they're not tying it with the underwhelming sequel.

there's an Aladdin one for pre-order as well. This would be cool if some of the art cards werent just clip art. I would have preferred concept art, sketches or even just stills from the film.

Question: When will
Pinocchio and Dumbobe released next, guessing if nothing else?
I (very stupidly) failed to buy
Pinocchio’s Platinum Edition, and watching the film again today on VHS, I was wondering when it’ll be released again so I can pick it up. It and
Dumbo are the only big Disney films I don’t have on DVD or Blu-ray, unfortunately. I know the bonuses are a crock now, but as long as the “restorations” aren’t repulsive like
Cinderella and
The Sword in the Stone, I want to buy them the next time they come around before physical releases end altogether.

I looked for the
Pinocchio Platinum Blu-ray on Amazon, and only the DVD looked available (via misc. sellers)? For some reason only the Italian version of the Blu-ray would show up… Did
Pinocchio get a Diamond?
I know
Dumbo isn’t in the Signature line, but I didn’t know where else to ask. EDIT: Sorry, just saw Dumbo is easily available still on Amazon.

I might be able to get the Pinocchio Platinum DVD, too, but I'd prefer to get the Blu-Ray...

Pinocchio should still be available on Ebay but it won't be cheap from when I last checked. The signature edition is coming out this January, but it will drop more than half of the bonus features so there's no point in getting that. A trick I've noticed though is that the older blu-rays get really cheap when the newer version is out. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty's first blu-ray releases were both really cheap on Ebay after the newest versions came out so if you are open to waiting a few more months then the Pinocchio blu-ray might be cheaper on Ebay then. But you might be lucky and find a deal on Ebay which is my go-to for the OOP blu-rays.
Also Dumbo and Pinocchio have amazing restorations so you have nothing to worry about pertaining to that.

Oh, wonderful. I saw the
Pinocchio logo in that picture up the page, and wasn't sure if it meant next year or 3 years from now.

I would wait a little while to order the new edition anyway, for the price to drop just a bit or maybe catch it on a sale of some kind, so maybe the Platinum Edition Blu-Ray might show up again like you said. I hope so, anyway. If not, I'll have to bite my principles and buy it even though the release'll be crap bonus-wise.
I have to buy several CDs/funko this month anyway, so I can just throw
Dumbo on top of everything else. I had just went to read Luke's review and the restoration does look fantastic, thankfully.
