"You Can't Stop the Girl" is not a great song, but it was better than I expected.

The song was so...light. I think a girl power ballad would fit this film well with what it's really about. Maleficent is not creepy or menacing. She's just not in these movies. A girl power ballad would fit this film if it wasn't so...happy?

New TV spot. The delivery of the line "Pitchforks. Humans are hilarious" was impeccable.

D82, thanks for the article. I love reading about fairy tale costumes.

New TV spot. I can't believe Conall (Chiwetel Ejiofor's character) went all Mufasa on Maleficent by telling her "Remember who you are".

I did like the use of Tchaikovsky though.

Lol, I love how this film is finally starting to accurately follow Disney's source material, except it's the wrong source material!

New trailer that Disney's calling a "special look". Aurora is
seen wailing because she thinks Maleficent was killed.

The footage so far gives me hope that it will be better than the first one. Very excited!

The marketing must be working because the film is currently projected to open higher than before. It was initially projected at $37 million but now it has gone up to $50.

The early projections for Toy Story 4, Aladdin, and The Lion King weren't super accurate from what I remember so I'm not putting much weight into that. The former was expected to open up higher whereas the latter two had very low estimates because of the marketing controversies.

New clip. You can cut the tension with a knife in this scene.

That scene is going to be the epitome of "I feel very uncomfortable right now". Jolie and Pfeiffer are going to be wonderful scene stealers throughout the movie.
