I wonder who they could introduce for Cassandra. "Pascal's Story" sounds like that episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender where Appu was the central character.

Well, the Primetime Emmy nominations were announced today and neither the show nor any of the songs were nominated for anything (and yes, they were eligible; they submitted "Wind in My Hair").

I honestly don't understand the people who vote for the song category. You should listen to this year's nominees. Almost all of them are awful. It's just so perplexing. For instance, why would they nominate the annoying Mickey Mouse song Jing-A-Ling-A-Ling but not any of the Tangled songs? It's mind-boggling.

Only the TV movie and 6 episodes have aired already, maybe they want to wait to see more before nominating the show, but I don't understand why they haven't nominated any of the songs. I was hoping this TV series would finally give Menken the EGOT. Well, he can still get it next year because there are more episodes and songs coming, but after this year's omission it doesn't look so likely anymore.

Thanks for all the updates, D82! :) I love the new song. You can never go wrong with Jeremy Jordan. It's really surprising that Indonesia produced a legit music video for "Wind in My Hair". It looks really good. I wonder if any other countries have done that or are planning to. Keep us posted, if you hear anything!

^ No problem! :) I love the new song too. It has been stuck in my head since I first heard it. I found the Indonesian music video here. I don't know if more countries are also doing their versions, but don't worry, if I find something I'll post it here.

I really really liked last night episode. The Rapunzel segment was not as good as the Eugene-king portion of the episode.
I have the idea that they are really fleshing out the characters and, although it is still a comical show for kids, they still let the characters grow and show their flaws and insecurities. They are not at all one-sided.
The artwork remains superb.
It's nice that the king confirmed the fact that Eugene saved Rapunzel and that he is forever grateful to him, even though he doesn't always show it.

Nice homage to the little mermaid at the end, that was funny.

I caught up on the last two eps, but I still need to catch "In Like Flynn." I like that they're going back to the rocks that restored Rapunzel's hair with crumbs here and there. Nice to see Varian again, too. I wonder if he's supposed to be Cassandra's endgame love interest? Because he seems too young for her.

I liked all the history on Corona they gave in the last episode, but I think I need to rewatch. I wish I could put subtitles on the opening scene, too.

^I am not a fan of the little steampunk kid, first of all he reminds me too much of Mateo from Elena of Avalor who I think is a better character, 2nd, he does look too young for Cass. I really hope they aren't end game either.

I really liked the latest episode. I was wondering if they were gonna do a Anna/Hans scenario but I also thought Cass seemed too cynical to fall for this guy. So I was happy to see that in fact she had her suspicions and was playing along. Though its odd she allowed him to get so close to the book at the end.

I have recently begun watching this series and I have enjoyed it sooo much! Fans of the movie and characters can not help but love this show. Added points to the return of original voice talents, and some inspired choices for supporting/guest characters. The writing for the series is also pretty stellar. I like that it is a kid's show, but, can have sophisticated humor and wit...the writing for Flynn is great! At first I was a bit off put by the different animation style used (being a contrast to the original film) but, it has grown on me. It really reminds of me of classic Disney artists like Mary Blair, Walt Peregoy and Eyvind Earle.
