My two cents.

While it's not right to enjoy pissing DisneyJedi off so much, I seriously do think he needs to find some sort of help based on the things he writes. I find it very disturbing and I say that not because of wether or not I like you (we're online, no one here knows each other and I don't know you), I say it simply because it worries me. You need help finding balance in your every day life. The things you write are not normal. It's unhealthy.

And can this topic please be closed or the discussion moved elsewhere. There is no news on this project.

Seconded to all of the above.

Disney Duster wrote:DisneyJedi, I, too, feel that some people (I won't name names) really have purposely been trying to rile you up instead of talk nicely to you in an attempt to calmly bring you to a positive discussion. I think some people have been almost borderline abusing you by subtley saying or doing small things that they shouldn't be, and I am sorry they have been.
I totally missed the train, but these were my thoughts.

Considering all the instigation, DJ's response is understandable even if it isn't appropriate on a forum. DJ is outrageous, but I always assumed he was younger than most people here and that he obviously has problems going on at home wherever he is.

Btw, what was this thread about originally? Do we have any information at all on what this project is?

So because people expressed their disagreement over DJ's outrageous conspiracy theories of Disney trying to destroy 2D-animation, it's "understandable" that DJ blames the death of relatives on other forum members?

Suuuuuuuuuuuuure...

My point was that the fact that people constantly pester him makes his meltdown less surprising. That's not an excuse for his actions, as I said, but I believe the people who attempt to "start" something are also at fault.

I have admitted here that I do get a little enjoyment out of his outrageous claims. So In that sense I guess I am a little at fault, however, and like Goliath said, what I said was no where in near in comparison to what he said.

But people DON'T "constantly pester" him. This is just yet *another* example of how you always protect the trouble-maker, instead of the people the trouble-maker attacks. He has NO reason AT ALL to behave the way he does. No, not one, none. And if you REALLY have his best interest at heart, you would point that out to him, instead of justifying his outrageous behavior.

This thread is locked for the time being.

I rarely make it on the forum anymore which doesn't make me a particularly good moderator, I agree. That said, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the behavior I am finding here. I am also becoming less accepting. Frankly, I spend every day teaching emotionally challenged 9 and 10-year-olds the proper way to behave in society. Despite their age and troubled backgrounds, I give them fewer chances to shape up than I give members of this forum. It's not right, and it's not fair to those who now feel uncomfortable to add their input to discussions. Please stop the unacceptable behaviors or please take it elsewhere. If you have questions regarding what is acceptable and what is not, please consult posting guidelines.

Thank you.

Steve Hulett: I visited the Disney hat building this afternoon. The droll Wreck It Ralph display is now fully operational on the first floor, work is humming along on a variety of projects on various other floors. Some new directors on stalled projects, some new projects, and Frozen still follows Ralph.

Q: I hope the replaced directors aren't Ron & John. Are they?

Steve Hulett: John and Ron are working on the same picture they've been developing for awhile. I'm told that there is no movie yet designated to follow Frozen.

Oh good! It's open again. Now remember everyone, let's not get too much dramatic. Of course, if we get dramatic again in the soap opera way, Let's start with this:

WHEEEEEEE! Clement and Musker's new movie is going to be hand drawn after all.

So.... John and Ron's next film WILL, in fact, be hand-drawn? If that's so, then fantastic! :)

I was talking more about the story they're doing, but the hand-drawn bit is good news, too.

For the last time: It's NOT Rumpelstiltskin and it's NOT going to be hand-drawn.

Steve Hulett has confirmed multiple times that it's not Rumplestitchkin and although the project was once to be hand-drawn that changed and now it's gonna be CG with hand-drawn elements. Supposedly it will feature a new groundbreaking technique which was employed on the upcoming CG short "Paperman".

If you read all the way through the post that Polizzi linked, you would see that they actually debunked the report about Rumpelstiltskin using UD as source. This rumor was first posted on Wikipedia and it has already been addressed on page 7 of this thread.

The Rumpelstiltskin troll who keeps crapping on Steve Hulett's blog needs to be caught, skewered on a stick and cooked over a low flame.

RATS!!! :(

Well, hopefully, the movie is like Treasure Planet, with the characters being hand-drawn. I know someone else said that, but still. I don't want us to lose hope completely.

Of course, I'm still going to bring my movie plans to Disney and give them one simple offer: Keep the animated sequences hand-drawn or it's a no-go.
