For Alice,
after having a Masterpiece Edition on DVD,
lets hope they have a more impressive name for the BluRay.

Maybe it will be the Super Special Masterpiece Edition.

Let's not forget they'll have Toy Story 1 2 & 3 on BluRay for
Christmas 2010 also.

I bet if you add even more adjectives, it will sound even more impressive.

Limited Super Duper Souped Up Specialer Than The Last Masterpiece Edition Collector's Set?

Nah...still not enough.

The best bit of the Alice Masterpiece Edition was the
"One Hour In Wonderland" special.

Or as I like to call it, the "Let's All Stop And Have a Coke" Hour.

Delightful.

That wasn't on the Aus release you know.
Australia doesn't get alot of things :(

I'll be surprised if we get Dumbo next year.

Until then, let's all have a refreshingly cool glass of Coca Cola...

Let's hope when "Alice" goes Blu in Australia, we'll finally get the "One Hour in Wonderland" featurette plus lots more goodies...shall I hold my breath?

Oh didn't you get it from the US?
Silly goose.

I remember I imported the Masterpiece Edition from the US the minute it was announced. Then poor dear sad old Australia got it like a year and half later. With most of it missing.

It doesn't really apply for the new BluRays though cos naughty Disney lock them to A. But I still buy them anyways and watch them on my laptop. Then, whenever AUS gets them, I get the AUS BluRay to watch on the PS3.

As for the olden day DVDs, I just always got the US version and only ever bought AUS if they added something, which they never did.

And for collectibilitys sake, got all the platinums from Japan just for their fun covers.

So I doubt that our Alice BluRay will have the One Hour In Wonderland thing on it, and I don't think it will be on the US version either since its on the Masterpiece DVD.

Maybe get if off Ebay. It's an hour of fun!
Plus it has the good bits of Song Of The South during that hour

DVDs are region locked too. It's just easier to make DVD-players region free than it is with Blu-ray players.

I'm aware of that.
I've had the same Sony DVD player since 1998.
It isn't region locked. It plays every region.

And since then, any other DVD player I have bought has been region free. No matter what price.
A $99 woolworths DVD player, that we now use as a doorstop,
played all regions.

If you know what to buy, international locks are no concern.

Hence having an unlocked bluray drive in my laptop.
Their ABC locks don't concern me.

My point is BUY THE BEST from whatever country has the best.
It never happens to be Australia, so naturally get it from the US, UK or Japan.

Then, if need be, concern yourself with pointless hurdles like region locks after the fact.

It's only technology, it's not brain surgery.

So to save everyone the hassle in 7 years time when certain things aren't available, buy them NOW and worry about it later.

I love the "Be Our Guest" part in the new Diamond Edition Trailer. So, I decided to make a little remix to it lol. I just cut that part into the Movie version of the song. I named it "Be Our Guest (Diamond Mix)" I hope you guys like it. Enjoy! :)

Ah, that brings back memories.
I remember arguing with HappyPug over on some Disneyland forum about the Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Christmas thing.

That was years ago though.

Actually, Disney releasing Sleeping Beauty with that "50th Anniversary" label early was good because they're usually a year or so late. Beauty and the Beast always annoyed me because it came a year late and I think Lady and the Tramp missed its fiftieth by a year. So, I actually think Disney did something good with the Sleeping Beauty promotion.

Just to let people know, I've just came home with my copy of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Blu-Ray (it just came out today in the UK!- it's my second ever Blu-Ray film the first being Sleeping Beauty!) and in the small booklet which I assume is for the UK only, Beauty and the Beast on Blu-Ray is advertised, with a Autum 2010 date. The 2002 Platinum Cover has been pasted onto a Blu-Ray case. I know we all know that it had already been confirmed for a Fall release next year but I thought you's would just like to know anyway

That's weird. They put the trailer on the Blu-Ray. It's not one that automatically plays before the menu, but it's in the list of sneak Peeks.

On the DVD it's no where to be found. I gotta check the Blu-ray, I haven't watched the Blu-ray yet.
