Yay! I'm really glad to see this included! There doesn't seem to be a new documentary, afterall (which means the Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust title must've been Germany's title for the You Can Fly featurette). That doesn't bother me, though, because everything else looks excellent. I'm also glad that the new John Canemaker commentary will be on this, afterall, but I still can't help but be peeved that Disney took the time to create a new commentary for this when it already had one and not one for Cinderella. I can understand Alice not getting one, but you'd think Cinderella of all films would be deemed highly enough to merit a commentary track. Still, this looks to be an exellent release. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Pinocchio gets similar treatment in 2008.

Wow! The inclusion of the TV special has made my day (well, it's actually night time). If only the commentary from the first dvd was ported over.......

Also, what's up with the making-of? Is it just that little 15 minute thing, or are they expanding it? I mean I would assume, but everyone knows what happens when you assume something.

I've never been into Peter Pan, but I'll sure check out this release. Maybe I'll join to the Peter Pan Fanclub after getting the Platinum Edition!

God I hope so. Otherwise it'd be the most disappointing documentary on a Platinum title since the chopped up and scattered across the winds featurettes we got for The Lion King.

As I've saide before, I'd really like to see them edit the outtakes used for the original commentary into the main featurette. That way, we have the best of both worlds: fans of the old commentary won't lose the remarks, and the documentary will stand up nicely alongside other Platinum ones. I'd also like to see them do this with Sleeping Beauty's Platinum (its SE's commentary is also just featurette outtakes). Unfortunately, I fear Disney will be too lazy to do this with either, but there's always hope.

Here's a link for the information on the German release of Peter Pan, complete with DVD cover! WARNING: Language is German; no English. Also, the area where the title is found is also red.

Okay, here's the link: http://www.dvd-live.de/phpBB2/news.php?id=2362

The language is German? You mean that it's not in English? :headshake: Those silly mods at the German DVD Forum. Don't they know that you're only supposed to post stuff in English on the Internet?

I hope you were just kidding. Who says websites have to be only in English? Lots of websites are in all sorts of different languages. One of my favorite websites, Duckfilm.de, explains all about Disney releases, theatrically and otherwise, in Germany. However, it's only in German; English is at a minimum here!

It might be just me, but is the actual movie on the first dvd. I didn't see it listed. I could have just missed it.

But I'm excited for this dvd to come out. I can't wait.

Dude, I was joking. I am actually doing a university degree in French and German, so I don't really have an attitude like that.

No, I'm afraid we don't know each other. And I don't visit their forum too often; I don't speak German. I do visit it because some parts are easy to comprehend.

Not to turn this thread entirely off-topic, but I think we need more people with English as mother-tongue who learn other languages properly. Great!

PETER PAN SPECIAL EDITION - BONUS COMPILATION Video
Feature
Run Time 38m 0s
Multi-Aspect, DVD additional material,
00:03:12:20 PETER PAN (SPECIAL EDITION - BONUS COMPILATION - "NEVERLAND" MUSIC VIDEO)
00:08:25:08 TINKER BELL: A FAIRY'S TALE
00:03:03:10 "NEVER LAND" SONG LYRICS 1940

00:20:58:17 THE PETER PAN THAT ALMOST WAS
20+2+3+9+3=36, with the added seconds making up the extra 2 minutes.

IIRC, "The Peter Pan Story" is 12 minutes long, and the "You Can Fly" featurette is a few seconds shy of 16 minutes.

Oh, okay, thanks Mr. Al! I'll go and change that. Of course, I wouldn't mind if the "Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust" was 38 minutes. That is, if we get it.

Just thought I'd let you know that thanks to the BBFC it has been revealed that the audio commentary will feature John Canemaker and Roy Disney along with other unnamed contributors.

So is that the same commentary as on the previous Special Edition? I know that one contains Roy Disney with other contributors as well..
