If this movie explains how Ariel's mom died, will it be the first time ever we see what happens to a princess' mother? Cause all the princesses (except for Aurora, Mulan) don't have mothers. Thus we don't know what happened to them.

Just an interesting point I wanted to make. :)

I'm guessing the DVD will include a new music video just like Cindy 3. It might be an originl song I think or maybe a new rendition of Part of Your World.

martinroyalsdisneyfan, youve got a point there! While I was watching 'Lilo and Stich', I noticed Lilo says, "We're a broken family, arn't we?" And I couldnt help thinking that almost all the Disney Princesses come from broken families! I wonder why this is? To show that life does go on after loosing a parent, and it can make you a kind, stong, warm-hearted person? As these are qualites that all Princesses have.

As Sally Field is confirmed to be in the movie, it is most deffinate that we will find out what happens. As it is an Ariel movie, and she is the most beloved Princess, I doubt it will be too gruesome.

MerXAN, I really hope 'Part of Your World' wont be murdered again; I could only take so much when part II came out, with Jessica Simpson etc etc covering it APPALINGLY! I think it will probably be a whole new song, much in the fashion of Cindy III. I would LOVE for Jodi Benson to record a song for the end credits, and sing it as herslef. That would be wonderful!

This looks like it would be the first with a sad ending Ariel's mom dying.

I honestly dont think it will be. Theh only sad ending a Princess movie has had is Pocahontas, where John smith leaves her. But, they had to stick to historical fact, so thats probably why they did it. Disney fiddles with fairy tales and legends, but they cant really change the ending to a historical fact.

Oh my, I can't wait. Seriously, I'm dying. November will be such a good month; My birthday, then Enchanted, then TLM3!!! I was so deflated when I heard it'd been scrapped, and SO glad when it was announced as still in production! Also, we'll probably be getting more Ariel stories from the Enchanted Tales DVD series (I think it may have been confirmed already). I really liked that interview with Jodi Benson, she makes it sound as though Mermaid is still going even past TLM3. Say what you want about sequels; at their worst, they're a chance to revisit classic characters. The one thing I don't like is how it's been said that many kids prefer TLM2 to the original. The original is, dare I say it? Fantasmic.

How do you know? That is very rude of you to tell! If you hate sequels do not watch them!

I have children, for this reason I have seen a lot of sequels.
Yes, I hate sequels

*coff* Troll.
Oh, I'm sorry, what? You need to support your opinion if you're going to come in negative. Have you read all 17-or-so pages of info? Have you read any of the info for that matter? Don't judge before you've actually heard the plot.

Sorry, but this is my opinion.I don't like the sequels, any problem?
I really like Disney classics, but no its sequels

Yes, you are of course allowed to express your opinion, but coming in and simply saying "another stupid sequel" and leaving no explanation isn't really doing so. Although I admit I overreacted.

for my opinion, the argument is stupid, Cinderella 3 too

I'm not going to make a retort to that, because everyone has their opinion.

Personally, If I didn't like sequels, I probably wouldn't come to a thread about a sequel.
