Was it just me or does the official press release seem to be hyping up the two games just as much as the actual movie itself? That is just plain weird. The press release didnt really reveal anything new either....well nothing new actually. :x

I noticed that, too. The series is aimed at little kids, though, who like their games, so I can't blame the marketing department.

You know what I think? If Disney realised that they have a huge, older audience for their Disney Princess DVDs, and Princess sequals etc, they would give more of the special features over to 'making-of's etc. Cindrella III was a prime example of this; most of us were shocked by the quality of animation, story, voices etc. They could have special features explaining why they went that extra mile for the movie etc.

Another great feature would be showing how they replace the Princess voices, and how they chose the new actresses to become Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White etc.

Obviously they would still include set top games etc, but having even a few 'older people' special features would go a long way.

^They wouldn't do that. They need to preserve the magic, and that would ruin it for younger fans.

Then how do you explain Disney's 2-disc sets?

Thank you bruno_wbt, the web site looks great! And so does Jasmine's song! The animation was nice, and the carpet looks CGI, like it was in the original movie. Does that suprise anyone?!

Atlanticaunderthesea, because this series is geared at kids, I don't think it's that big a deal that Disney doesn't fork over more money to make behind the scenes stuff. Then it would make it more expensive, and even adults who are really into the original movies probably wouldn't care about these because they are kind of like direct-to-video mini sequels. I could be wrong, though, and maybe lots more adults care about these.

As for "ruining the magic" for the kids, I think kids should know that these people aren't real, and are voiced by actors. What kid can't tell that some colored drawings aren't real, though? Maybe the movement confuses them...

And did anyone notice on the press release it said:
The enchantment continues with two bonus games that are so much fun the magic could last well beyond midnight, “Aurora Dress Up” and “Find Sahara.”
Why would they say that when Cinderella isn't in this volume? Magic is for all princesses, but midnight is for one, and only one princess!

To whoever it was that thought all of the dancing Jasmine shots in the trailer were from different songs: told ya so. ;)

Although the song is kinda corny (and I still insist that's NOT Lea Salonga), the animation is very impressive. This is definitely above the animation we saw for Aurora's song on the Cinderella III DVD. Then again, since that song (and the segment it's from) appears to have been replaced, then it's understandable why the animation there is more sterile than what we're seeing now. I wonder if they'll show us Aurora's new thirst for power song in full.

I guess your right as I was one of the people who brought that up however, that does look like a music video of some sort since the sultan wet scene and the kids running from Jaz seems to be clipped into the video song.

Agree the song is corny and still don't think thats Lea singing.

As for Aurora, I want her to be a greedy little b*tch(forgive lang but I still love her :) ). give her a bit of naughtiness to her that'll break her away from the cute little damsel like Snow White is.

atlanticaunderthesea, offtopic but where you get that awesome pic of Ariel? you know where I can the full picture? link?

Hmmmm... I think I could still be Lea. I've heard her new album and her voice isn't nearly as pretty as it once was. But whatevah..... :P

Yeah, I think it's Lea Salonga, too.

I found this comparisons of Sleeping Beauty and one of her episodes in the Enchanted Tales. I think that the animation is all on model, what do you think?

It looks awesome. I've never bought a Princess DVD and really wasn't interested in this one till I saw the Aurora footage in the latest preview. I love how they retained the look of the original, and I'm now looking forward to picking this up.

I think Jasmine's song is wonderful! Such an authentic feel to it, and it is deffo Lea Salonga singing. It is the same voice from all the recent Princess stuff, and that was Lea. The song is girl power as well!

I didn't realise quite how on model the Sleeping Beauty segment was; when compared to the original, it stands up very well.

Thanks for the compliment Super Aurora; the picture is from The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea teaser poster. Here is the link:

I see your point Disney Duster. But I know I would sure care if they had 'making of's. Oh well, I can but dream ... :)

Yes, I know, but this episode is going to be in one future volume of Enchanted Tales. (Maybe volume 2 or 3)
