I think what everyone is trying to tell you is that sealed, stickers, stamps, coupons.. can still be a bootleg. If someone sold 100 copies of the same movie and you bought one and it had all that stuff in it.. I'd suspect it to be a bootleg. It's not difficult to duplicate any of the stuff.

The toybox auction looks legit.

Good idea to put a thread together to help each other out about what's legit and what's not.

Plus, you and peak at my sig and see confirmed bootleggers :-)

I'm a bit confused goofy, are you saying you own Disney DVDs that just have a sticker slapped on the disc and its authentic???
I dont think your glossy insert dvds are real either. Ive bought every animated classic when they first come out, since the Limiteds, and None have a glossy insert. llike someone else said, If it seems real to you then it doesnt really matter. But some of us want only the real deal...
cheers......

OK, lets say that this is over now. The moral of this thread is that you should check every possible thing about the auction before you buy anything.

or like the wise president of that big great country once sead:

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. A Fool, he can't get fooled again."

His first "ebay thread" was originally moved to trade, but I assume that at the request of goofy, it's staying here..

You sure dooo a lot of searching, goofy108!
But it's helpful to and appreciated by those who don't have those DVDs yet. :)

NO! :) :x
Actually RJKD23 is right. I originally made a thread and without asking or notifying me, someone moved my thread into the trade section, which confused me because this thread isn't really for trading anything. Here are the suggestions that I hope will be contained in this thread (as posted earlier  ):
Goofy108 wrote:- Maybe you came across a great price for a DVD that you already have but maybe someone else doesn't.
- Maybe you are trying to decide if a DVD is a bootleg or authentic.
- Maybe you want to advertise a DVD you are selling.
- Maybe you had a bad experience and want to warn people of an individual seller.
- List some movies you are looking for and we will all help you find them.
And if you look under the Trade title on the Index page it says:
Post your lists to trade or sell movies to other forum members.

So, as you can see, this really doesn't belong in the TRADE section. The only trading that we will be doing here is the trading of information.

You might notice I'm a little tense. But that's only because I have high hopes for this thread and I want it to fufill its destiny...or whatever. (Plus its not doing that well in the General Discussion and if we moved it to Trade, there would be no hope. )

Thanks for the support, RJKD23! :D

That's What I Thought At First, She Sent Me An Email When I Asked About The Packaging, Here It Is..

This DVD was from a Disney Shop in Florida near Disney World. I also asked the same question and was told that the DVD in this packaging was harder for someone to shoplift it. But I do guarantee it to be 100% authentic. I wanted to sel it in this original packaging and this is the way it was purchased.

Well it's the package from Costco so it has to be real.

I think anybody can order that kind of packaging but Costco is the only place I have seen it in the last 10 years.

Buyer Beware of eBay seller pricecollegefund

by Ruben Arredondo
Seller pricecollegefund has sold in less than a month, over 350 pirated copies of 'Out of Print' Disney DVD's. Please don't be fooled by this person perfect feedback. Although, I've personally have never dealt with the seller, I'm confident this person is pulling the wool over lots of ebayers.

Buyers description states:

BRAND NEW with the Security Seals still Intact! The outer plastic wrap has been removed.

Sold some of the following copies:

58 copies of The Little Mermaid
50 copies of Lady and the Tramp
32 copies of 101 Dalamatians
42 copies of The Jungle Book
27 copies of Snow White Platinum
52 copies of Beauty and The Beast
44 copies of Toy Story 2

While I'm inclined to believe your are correct, the fact that 1) you have not personally dealt with this seller, and 2) he has not ONE shred of negative feedback that would hint of a bootlegging issue makes me a bit less skeptical.

For all you know, this "person" could actually be a mini distributer that had stockpiled supplies and is now selling them off. Would I be cautious....yes. Would I be trusting enough to deal with them...probably not just because of the sheer volume of OOP stuff they have moved. But I do think it's a bit irresponsible to publicly blast them without any proof at all.

Not trying to slam you here because I know what your intentions are and they are very much appreciated. There are way too many folks oout there that are praying on uniformed buyers and the like. This one, however, doesn't seem to be a bad egg .... yet.
