The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite movies. Did they offer it as one of the enrollment titles?MadonnasManOne wrote:I ordered The Shawshank Redemption: 10th Anniversary Edition 2-Disc set, through my membership in Columbia House. It came this last weekend!
The best part? It was completely free!

Was this a deal that they were running? If so I wish I had seen it, I still have to fulfill my agreement with them. I think I have 3 more movies to buy, but this is my second time as a member with them. I think that they are the best movie club out there.MadonnasManOne wrote:I absolutely LOVE The Shawshank Redemption. I do not know if it is available as an enrollment title, or not. I've been a member for several years, and I got a free movie for ordering one movie at regular price. Plus, when I ordered one at regular price, and one free, I could take a third movie at half price. Not a bad deal. Altogether I paid $29.96 (w/ free shipping) for three movies. In the deal I got Shrek 2, Terminator 3 2-Disc set, and The Shawshank Redemption. The first two movies I got some time ago, but I couldn't decide on my free movie, so they gave me a raincheck to order it, later. As I was browsing through my DVD collection, I realized I had never added this wonderful movie to my collection, and I ordered it right away!
No, it wasn't part of a deal they were running via the Club magazine, or the website. Rather, I had to call because, somehow, my membership got cancelled in their system. I called, and they fixed the problem, and then told me about this deal. Apparently, it was a deal they were offering via the phone number that I dialed. It was a good deal, so I took them up on it.tomothy81 wrote:Was this a deal that they were running? If so I wish I had seen it, I still have to fulfill my agreement with them.
