I went to FYE over the weekend and I bought the Lindsay Lohan poster where she was on the beach. It is a beautiful poster. I bought it for $8.00. That's not bad for a poster.

Oh dear. It's been a while since anyone tried to do a proper LiLo report. Sorry I've fallen behind, but here's a quick round-up of news since the start of April.

Ichabod wanted a summary of the events not covered prior to this update. Here it is:

Lindsay Lohan Returns To Redhead Roots

Lindsay Lohan has promised to return to her natural red-headed look to appease her mother and the producers of her latest film.

After trying a series of different hair colours for a string of different movie roles, the Mean Girls star has decided to go back to ginger.

She says, "I actually promised a bunch of the people from Fox (Studios), when I went in for the meeting about the publicity for my new film Just My Luck, that I would go back to red. And I'm gonna be red for the next film. I'm a strawberry blonde, but I'll be back to dark soon. My mom's so happy that I'm red again. I'm her baby redhead."

Lohan admits it was fun changing her hair colour from blonde to brunette over the past year because she felt the ever-changing look helped her develop the eclectic characters she took on on the big screen. She adds, "I feel like I kind of have to change my hair colour sometimes because I'm in all these tabloids, and people see me as Lindsay, but then it's hard for them to kind of believe that I'm playing someone else in a movie when I look exactly the same."

Yes! Dina is happy! Dina, after all her trials and tribulations is happy. And all because LiLo changed her hair colour for her mommy.

Oh, wait. She changed it for Fox. Not Dina. Dina's opinion isn't important after all.

Stop Press: Dina Lohan Sued!

I can't believe it:

Lindsay Lohan’s mother is being sued by two music producers over an apparently half recorded album of Lindsay’s music.

Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait claim they signed a deal with Dina Lohan in 2002 and recorded half an album with Lindsay in 2002 and 2003. But then in 2004, Dina signed a contract with Casablanca Records who then produced Lindsay’s two albums, “Speak” and “A little more personal”.

According to a Las Vegas newspaper, Almeida and Chait are suing Dina to reclaim the tens of thousands of dollars they claim to have leant Dina for the music recorded before the Casablanca records deal.

No. No. No. Not teh Dina! It is a sad day for all LiLo enthusiasts. The Lohan Report has finally reached rock bottom. It's like my own mom is being sued. I'm not sure I can continue to keep reporting such bad news, without it taking an emotional toll on me, my friends and my family.

A big message came out of Universal Music Group yesterday that bore hidden messages for all those involved.

The company re-aligned its R&B artists into two labels, Motown and Republic. They named the artists on each label, including soul diva — no, just kidding — Lindsay Lohan, the gossip-plagued teen queen actress on Motown.

What the press releases didn't say spoke volumes. Lohan was the only artist of any note on Casablanca Records, the ill-fated project re-started by Tommy Mottola after Sony Music showed him the door a couple of years ago.

The UMG release made no mention of Casablanca's future, but with Lohan (a not very best-selling recording artist) officially being moved to Motown, that would seem like the end for Mottola and Casablanca.

We'll skip for the moment the completely idiotic idea of Lohan as a singer being grouped in a sentence with Stevie Wonder, India.Arie and Erykah Badu as a Motown artist. And we won’t even mention her now on a label that once bred the colossuses of the music business, from Diana Ross and Gladys Knight to Marvin Gaye and Levi Stubbs.

More to the point: moving Mottola's one act to Sylvia Rhone's purview is UMG's Doug Morris' way of not having to say the ex-husband of Mariah Carey has been "Tommy-gunned." It's just over, that's all.

Maybe worse than anything is the news that Casablanca's one-time queen, Donna Summer, is signed or has signed or may sign —- that’s what I hear — with Sony’s Burgundy label for heritage artists. She'll join Chaka Khan, possibly Patti LaBelle, and some other vintage talents.

How ironic, no? Burgundy is a simple idea, and one that Mottola could have used to stage a comeback simply by reviving Casablanca's best names of the past.

Now don't think Rhone has it so easy at Motown, either. Stevie Wonder is very angry and disappointed that she didn't come through with her promises for his album, "A Time 2 Love."

Smokey Robinson, one of Motown’s founders, has just made a new album and it won't come out on Motown at all, but on the Universal Records label —- or so he told me recently. Motown is a far cry from what it was; Rhone would do well to make some immediate decisions, such as giving Wonder's album a real second push.

And Lohan? As I've said before, she's Shelley Fabares, circa 1963, and will be lucky to ever get a hit as good as the immortal “Johnny Angel.”

It's all well and good, but Shelley will tell you, in the record business, she never did fight Grace Slick or Joni Mitchell for anything more than a restaurant reservation.

There must be something biological. I don't know… some form of acute chemical awareness or something. It seems poor little LiLo only has to detect the smallest scent of estrogens in the air, and she turns into a wild-cat, unable to control herself...

Dina Lohan writes book for showbiz moms

Lindsay's Lohan's mother Dina will pen a "how-to" book for showbiz moms that will detail the role she played in her daughter's Hollywood success, according to Star magazine.

"I get so much mail each week from people asking me for advice," Dina says in the next issue of Star, according to the magazine's Web site. "They ask me how I did it, they ask me how to find a good agent. I get hundreds of questions each week, so I just figured, instead of answering every question, I'll put it in a book and help people."

Aside from Lindsay, Dina, 43, also manages her other daughter Ali, 12, who has a holiday album in the works and is in talks for movie and TV deals. Ali has already seen a glimpse of celebrity coverage of her sister and may be getting used to it.

"I remember the first time Ali read something derogatory about Lindsay having breast implants," Dina Lohan said. She was like, 'That is sooo not true!' Now we just laugh about it!"

Lindsay Lohan a Londoner?

According to the StarPulse Blog (no link, as its full of pop-up SPAM ads) she is considering such a move.

Teen queen Lindsay Lohan is considering leaving movie-obsessed Hollywood to live in fashionable, music-loving London. The singer/actress was brought up in New York and insists she feels safer in the Big Apple or the British capital than she does in Los Angeles.

She explains, "I'd rather go out in New York or London because I feel safer. People (in London and New York) don't seem to care as much. And they're not as judgemental and it's more about the fashion industry if anything, or the music scene. You don't really talk about what movies you're doing and that kind of thing."

She added, "I like Notting Hill a lot. I stayed at my friend's (Bryan Adams), who loaned me his house when I was there recently with my two girlfriends. I love London so much I almost want to move. I've been talking to friends about moving there."

I know when I'm out and about in London, I don't talk about what movies I'm doing. And neither do the people I go with. So she LiLo must be right. People in London don't talk about what movies they are doing. Because, on the whole, they don't do any!
