I have to agree wholeheartedly on this short. It is indeed amazing. It succeeds far better than what Wish tried to do and didn't quite succeed at unfortunately. It's a lovely tribute to Disney. The fact that Disney recently trained 2D animators gives me hope that we'll see more of this kind of animation from them in years to come, if not immediately, than someday.

Yes, maybe if they started training hand-drawn animation, we will see more.

Considering that upcoming Tiana series that hits Disney+ either late next year or in 2025 is rumored many times to be hand-drawn animated, you're most likely right,
JTurner.

It seems mostly everyone agrees with this opinion. I haven't seen Wish yet, I'm waiting for it to be released on Disney+. Sadly, the only version available in Romanian theaters now is dubbed.

Omg, Yzma giving Hercules a come hither look! What a loss!
Eartha Kitt’s voice paired with that wonderful animation… she’s definitely one of the greatest Disney villains.

How do you make the picture of Hercules talking to some old guy with a mustache and glasses turn into the video?

That would've been super funny to see

It's not a video clip, Duster, it's just a six-pic slideshow. There's a little arrow on the right side to move to the next slide.

You're welcome!
Original idea for the short's poster:

The title on the poster is the short's original title, as explained in the caption.

"Once Upon a Studio" rolls off the tongue a little bit easier, but I think the original title sounds a little classier.

It’s crazy how much Disney is still posting on social media about OUAS. They’re really milking it.
It does feel like they’re acknowledging that this is one of the few things they’ve made recently that has garnered critical acclaim. And something that people actually enjoyed.
And all the comments underneath demand a return to 2D.
It’s so simple, ugh.

They must really be fighting for it to be nominated for Best Animated Short at the Oscars.

I don’t think I fully understand the Flynn Rider joke… does Rapunzel elbow him just because he’s being rude? Or am I missing something?

That is a huge repudiation. A little bit shocked at this.
