Thank you, Rose! <3 So I have good news about Lucy! The x-ray came back with her bladder and spleen looking normal. Something about remnants from her spay (which was years ago). But the vet said that the spay stuff is not causing the weight gain/bloat. The specialist recommended an ultrasound. My husband said that we'll need to see how much that is. The vet does NOT think that it's cancer.

Amy, that’s great about Lucy! Hopefully the bloating will go away on its own so you won’t need to pay for the ultrasound— but at least you know it isn’t cancer.

Thank you! Her belly seems less bloated...the whole thing is weird but we probably will hold off on the ultrasound if it keeps going down! It's been a rough week, and this is really good news.

My dad let me know a few days ago that people that are "medically needy" can get the Covid shot, and he got me my appts this morning, one for Monday and one in early April! I am beyond grateful, but I feel guilty...I've been working from home for a year, and people like my brother don't get to, and they're at a high risk of contracting it even though they're not "medically needy." My doctor's been out of the office all week so it took the receptionist being amazing and texting the doctor, and they'll make sure my signed letter is ready Monday morning. (I'm getting the shot not at the dr's office but at a pharmacy.) I want everyone to get the shot!

Good news all around then. By "medically needy," do you mean where you had that breathing issue at your place of employment? Or is it more about finances? I'm not well-off either, but I hope I'll be able to get a vaccine shot around the May-July area.

I have asthma, so that counts as "medically needy." And that + allergies + the mold at work all contributed to my lingering cough that was super bad on the office (work from home forever, please!). My cough has been so much better since I'm not exposed to that mold.

I sure hope you can get the shot soon!!!!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad you got your 2nd one! Yes, please keep us posted as to how you feel. Yes, I did get my first dose on Monday. Besides a sore arm, I felt fine, and my arm is pretty much back to normal. I get Dose 2 on April 5th.

My father's about to get the vaccine soon. I think his work is making it more easily available is the only reason. I'm glad they're doing that, since I'm sure he wouldn't get it on his own since it would cost money having to go the doctor and all that. My mother doesn't seem to be in a hurry. Unfortunately she's far down the FOX news rabbithole, so she doesn't believe in any of it.

I don't know if anyone here watched the South Park "Vaccination Special" last night. So funny. I admit that show and SNL are likely what most helped me make it through the past five years.

I get Dose 1 tomorrow afternoon. No idea when I'll get Dose 2.

I am glad about that with your dad, DD, and I am sorry your mom is like she is. I saw the South Park special, but for me it was just ok, not all that funny.
