Me, too. I’m ready for them to do another traditional fairy tale (with music, romance, a villain, etc.) anyway, and I’d like them to make more fairy tales with people of color at the same time. Two birds, one stone. I wouldn't mind another one lead by a male character a la Aladdin either.

The thing is… I wonder why Disney hasn’t made another film with a primarily black cast since TP&TF anyway? Not just a fairytale princess story, but any story with black characters? They’ve had BH6 and Moana, now Raya and a Latina princess story soon. Simply looking at them as an American company, it’s strange they don’t make another with black characters considering they’re a much larger minority in this country than Latinos or Asian Americans. I just wonder if they're using TP&TF's performance as a way to justify putting off doing another film with black characters, in the same way they used it to kill hand-drawn animation (and would've done in fairy tales altogether, too, if Tangled hadn't been too far along to simply cancel). Part of me is afraid that if they were to make another black princess, that Tiana would get thrown into the background in the princess line... :( The DP line is the only thing keeping TP&TF on life support as far as merchandise goes all these years later.

Anyway, I hope Gay Prince Film is next on the list for somewhere between 2022-5. ;) I know, I know, we probably have another decade or two before that happens.

 True. Although I prefer the lyrics of the song "If We Hold On Together": "Dreams are for weaving, wonders are waiting to start." / "Our dreams will never die, dreams see us through to forever."

Well, it's from The Land Before Time, but I don't associate it with that movie when I'm singing it.

At first, when I had only read the title of the film I thought the lead characters would be dragons, but after reading the character descriptions I was sure they were referring to humans. Now that you've mentioned that, however, I think they could very well be dragons. Or even humans who turn into dragons, as Sotiris jokingly said. I think I would actually prefer they were dragons. It would be more original and different from the How to Train Your Dragon films or the Warner Animation project.

Is Ice Dragon to " the Warner Animation project." you are referring to ? :?

(Yeach was !)
Sorry for not replying earlier, but I hadn't read your comment until now. I don't even remember which movie I was referring to there, but it must be the one you said because it was announced just some days before I wrote that comment.

By the way, it's curious that Sotiris already mentioned Raya could be about humans who turn into dragons back then. You weren't too far wrong, Sotiris, as at least Sisu, the dragon, turns into a human. Do you have a crystal ball? :P

Good find, farerb! I wish we could see what these characters look like or know some more info about them, but those names don't sound bad.

Same. I'm surprised they don't realize their protagonists would be stronger with a villain to help define them.

I wonder something do you think a working trille for this movie really was "Draagonm Empire" ?= and that earrlier drafts indeed hade the lead character named Jan-Nin.

And there really was a male character called Bolin, was comic relief and a 900-year-old mentor to Jan-Nin.

Was that as good old mister orange would put just FAKE NEWS !!
Ore was that REALLY an earlier draft of Raya and the Last Dragon at one point ?? :? :?

What do you think ?

Here some links to the leaked snypoies !

I don't think they were fake. The story and characters change constantly in the production of animated films. It's nothing new.
