My local video store is having a movie sale this weekend and I decided to buy a movie.
Since I just finished reading the graphic novel, I got Watchmen (Theatrical cut) used for 5.95 (Normally 7.95 used).
I don't really like buying used movies much since I worry the disc will not play right.

At the start of July I ordered this...
RiffTrax Live: Christmas Shorts-stravaganza!
Now oddly this came last week but with this too!
RiffTrax Plays WIth Their Shorts
I did not pay for this DVD and it still has not been added to my Visa so even though I'd be happy to pay for it since it came and I opened it who knows what's going on. Even weirder though is a couple of days ago I got another package with Christmas Shorts-stravaganza alone. I have not opened that package and again at this time have not been charged for it and it would cost quite a bit to send it back... Very odd.
Today in a everyday brick and mortar I got
Superman: The Complete Animated Series (for only $30 + tax)

On Wednesday I was out cruising my favorite used DVD stores CD Tradepost and found:
The Runaways (Blu-ray) - $13.99
The Losers (Blu-ray) - $13.99
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (Blu-ray) $9.99
Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Blu-ray) - $7.99
High Anxiety (Blu-ray) - $7.99
Robocop (Blu-ray) - $5.99
When you deal with a reputable company like CD Tradepost you get fully guaranteed products which are returnable for full refund if they are defective. I don't trust a lot of used DVD places, but having dealt with CD Tradepost for over five years now I am willing to wait an extra day or two for the new releases.
You can cruise their immense library at:
www.cdtradepost.com
Become a CD Tradepost All Access member and you can request titles to be put on your wish list, and will be notified when they come in. They do mail order all over the world, and with all the stores they have in the midwest, you might have one closer to you than you know.

Hey Bill. I recently got The Runaways on Blu-Ray, too, and I loved it. Did you watch it yet? What did you think?

I loved
The Runaways for several different reasons. Their honest portrayal of Kim Fowley (their manager) and the fact that Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning looked so much like the younger Cherie Currie and Joan Jett.
I liked the pacing of the movie, the music was amazing, and the insane nuttiness of Kim Fowley was what made the whole thing real.
I really like this movie, and it will have a place in my collection for some time to come.
NOTE: I just found the book "Neon Angel" by Cherie Currie, which the movie is based on, used at a Used Book Store here in Wichita.

Continuing my Harry Potter collection:

$25 @ HMV, a little steep but it is the 2-disc set which is hard to come by around town for some reason.
I also found the 2-disc set of Goblet of Fire at another store so I may replace my single disc. I got enough shopper's points saved up at this particular store so I can get it for free. Now I just need to find the 2-disc of Half-Blood Prince. Saw the Deathly Hallows trailer at the theatr last week - looking forward to that one.
