I only seen this yesterday and it is wonderfull! A heart warming story that I might actually buy on DVD! *Gasp* I might actually buy a Disney sequal! The animation was alright, it only got me thinking of photoshop colours.
If someone has not seen this one yet, rent it at your video store. It is worth the watch!

I saw this recently too for the first time and really enjoyed it. I was never a huge fan of Bambi to begin with so maybe that's why I enjoyed the sequel as much as I did.
I thought the animation was beautiful and the colors in the forest were very pretty.

I am looking into getting this one as well. I have never seen it before, but I had intended to before it went OOP, but since its semi-easy to find, I'll get it.

In my opinion, Bambi 2 was far more worthy of a theatrical release than Jungle Book 2, even though I'm a bigger fan of the original Jungle Book than of the original Bambi (though I still love Bambi). Bambi 2 is honestly a wonderful film, and this one was made by those master animators who worked on the Renaissance hits. The only major flaws to the film, in my opinion, are the modern-styled songs, which sort of ruin the feeling that it takes place amidst the first one. That was also my main issue with Return to Neverland, although that movie had other problems too. It was still good, but should have been MUCH better. Return to Neverland used adults for the kids voices, which is a pet peeve of mine and is one of the things that Bambi 2 got right. They used kids for the voices, and it made a huge difference in making the film work!
