I think the writer herself answers her own predicament at the end when she notes the difference between Elsa and Sandy (from Grease)--that Elsa changes her clothes/appearance only for herself and not for anyone else. The scene is about Elsa finally being able to be free from all constraint, and part of that is accepting that--godforbid! --she's a woman. :P

The only thing in the article that annoyed me was this:
"Even the umpteenth time through (and even though, in plot terms, this is the moment when she is basically assuming the role of villain),"
No.

BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics Choice, Annie, PGA, VES. I hope this is enough for the Oscars in 2 weeks. It's basically won everything over the last month besides the GG for Best Song, and that lost was political.

No, it's a fully fleshed out one. But the only special features on mine are the Demi Lovato music video and Get A Horse! Which sucks.

It's worth pointing out that ever since the BAFTAs introduced the Best Animated Feature in 2006, the winner has matched up with the Oscar 100%. So, looks like Frozen has got this one.

Actually isn't it a thousand million? And the billion would be I think 1,000,000,000,000

Wow. :o I'm really convinced that we might win the Oscars. There is no way that a movie, which is winning every single major award, would lose to another movie.

Oh, BTW: When I meant HALF WAY there, i meant if Frozen gets $100,000 more, it'll get a billion. That's what I meant.

In USA a billion is: 1,000,000,000

In Europe, this would be a thousand million.

The way I see it, Frozen might close in on the $1 billion mark before it even hits Japan.

If Frozen can hold out a little longer, it can reach the $400 million mark here in the states. :)

I don't mind if Frozen will hit the $400mil mark domestic, but next week it will surpass Nemo & be the 4th highest grossing animated film domestic! Domestically, Frozen has outgrossed every single film from Pixar & Dreamworks besides sequeals to Toy Story & Shrek. That is very impressive!
