I knew about that cameo, but I didn't know about the Hercules one that appears on the link. Or if I knew, I had forgotten about it.

By the way, apart from the one listed in the article, there seems to be two more cameos of the directors in The Princess and the Frog, but I'm not sure if they have been officially confirmed or not:

Even their merchandise for the Disney Parks is far better than what we get. I see their stuff on Ebay all the time and they really love the classic Disney characters. Pinocchio, Dumbo, Chip and Dale, The Aristocats, Alice in Wonderland, and some of the more obscure Mickey and Friends characters. I also prefer their princess line which is a truncated one of what we have featuring only the most popular princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Rapunzel.
yes yes and yes! they have great stuff at their Disney Stores too.

The first one has just been confirmed (see the article below). No word on the second one yet. Maybe the directors themselves aren't aware of that one.

^ I'm glad it has been confirmed. And, yes, maybe they aren't aware of that second cameo, or they simply didn't remember to mention it in the interview. Also, interesting to know the Fenner Brothers were first conceived as a caricature of the directors. When I first saw the film, I remember I doubted whether it was just that moment with the cake or the Fenner brothers were a caricature of them all the time. Now I know why. Though the idea was discarded, I guess they still kept some of their traits.

Disney announced today that Auli‘i Cravalho will reprise her lead role as the voice of Moana for the Hawaiian language version of the film.

Guess I'll have to watch it in a language I don't know, then.

Too bad it is too late to come out on any Blu-ray.

I was watching some of the blu-ray extras the other day and there's a second cameo of the directors in Moana I had forgotten about and that article doesn't mention:

Mark Mancina talks about Moana.
Mark Mancina wrote:I worked on [Moana] for three years and that was the hardest film I've ever been involved in. I was not only the score composer but I was also the co-songwriter and co-producer of all the songs and the score. So, my plate was so full on that movie. I was so invested in it.

I'm happy the song won something.

I wish Disney would put out another covers album (either We Love Disney or Disneymania, whatever) to get more covers of music from this, Frozen, and Tangled. Maybe even "Evermore" from the LA B&tB. They have covered deleted songs and Broadway-only songs before on those compilations (Her Voice, Proud of Your Boy, etc.).

Disney seems to have better luck there than at the Oscars. I'm surprised it beat "City of Stars". Maybe "Evermore" could win next year, or was it in contention for this year's award?

It will be eligible for next year's Grammys but I highly doubt it's going to win. "Remember Me" will probably win in that category.

^Oh, I forgot about "Remember Me". Nevertheless, I still think it could win.
