I keep seeing the 1999 version Simba's Pride with a DTS surround sound banner on top. The items are usually from Singapore or Malaysia or another Southeast Asian Country. Oddly enough, they offer USPS shipping for only $7 USD. If the item is in Asia, why is the shipping cost so cheap?

Will this maddness stop? I guess not. :(

None of the sellers take personal checks. I wonder why? Really, I want to know. Maybe they don't have a bank account? But they need one to have a PayPal account? I'm so confused.

Checks take long to clear, and usually sellers would like the money as soon as possible.

It's always SAFE to pay with PayPal.

Sellers could ask for Western Union wire transfers. :D

Thanks for the information. Because I don't have a bank account I need to use money orders. My friend wrote me a check though. :? My mom had to cash the check for me after I endorsed it.

Maybe I should just by The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (Limited Issue 1999) from Amazon.com instead of eBay.

I would guess these are also bootleg copys of the DVDS, I would keep away from them . I have noticed that most or all of the DVDs I have are made in Mexico

Thanks for the suggestion Lightyear but I already have the 2 disk Special Edition.

I just want the 1999 DVD to add to my collection of DVDs. :)

A while back I reported that I bought some DVD's from a guy on ebay but was a bit hesitant afterwards because I noticed he he had sold many copies of the same DVD's......well, I received them yesterday and I can say that they are 100% authentic. They have the Buena Vista seal, white case, and all the other tell tell signs of an authentic Disney DVD. I am very happy I decided to buy them. Of course not all is golden....I ended up buying two more DVD's from the same person and I have tried to contact them several times requesting a correct amount due (he is overcharging me $2.00 for shipping). However, all my e-mails, 6 total, have gone unanswered since the end of the auction last Saturday. At this point it's a matter of principal...why wouldn't you respond to e-mails from a buyer???!?! At the same time, I just feel like saying screw the $2.00 and finally paying for the auction and never doing business with this person again, but I am very annoyed with the lack of courtesy shown by this person.

I bought this and it's a bootleg.

Beware of that buyer. The only negative feedback that person has (not including that one neutral comment) is from my friend.

I have noticed it said the 'plastic wrap has been removed'. My friend did not tell me that. woops... :P

Aww, sorry to hear that you lost $30 dollars USD. :(

Thanks for sharing the info though. I'll try to avoid the buyer.

Watch out for sellers who don't sell the DVD in a plastic case. Some sellers are selling the DVD in a plastic or paper sleeve to save shipping costs.

help me please i think i got a bootleg

Isnt a bootleg dvd a dvd someone has burned on his/hers/IT's pc? That way you should be able to tell if it's a bootleg by looking at the colour of the 'reading' side of the dvd, right... i mean they are always purple...
