I got the first Infinity, but didn't get the second one. Are these backwards compatible? Are the bases the same? Is it just the game discs are different? With the word "infinity" you'd think they'd be good for a long time. Didn't think 3.0 would be out this soon.

As excited as I am for this...

All I can think of is how my poor, poor wallet will suffer...

But really, I wish they would focus on more classic Disney characters instead of throwing all these franchises at us. (Though that's not to say I'm not going to snatch this up because Ahsoka and (hopefully) playable Leia. I LOVE the Mulan too, and the outfit they chose for her!)

I love the outfit they used for Mulan too.

I would love it if the had given us more classic Disney characters instead of Pixar and Star Wars. Where are characters like Hercules, Pocahontas, Aurora, Phillip, Megara, classic Maleficent, Hades, Jafar, Ursula etc, etc?

I do think that they will release all the "Disney princesses" eventually, but hardly all the princes/heroes and villains from the same movies. And then you have movies like Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Pocahontas, Hunchback, Hercules, Tarzan who most certainly will be entirely forgotten.

Mulan is a nice surprise, but will we ever get Shang, Mushu or Shan Yu to go with her? Not likely. I wonder if they have decided to release Mulan because of the upcoming live action movie.

I made the mistake of buying Infinity 2.0 a few days ago, the Marvel Starter Set, because it was on sale. What a mistake that was. I'm addicted!

The only thing I wished they'd do is if you already have the hardware (base), sell the disc separately. I know you can download the game, but I prefer to have the physical media. I've got 3 bases now - I had to re-buy 1.0 as the disc got scratched, but luckily I got it used at EB Games for cheap.

A closer look at some of the figures and playsets

I read that one of Mickey's special powers will be the ability to summon other characters like Goofy, Pluto and even Oswald. Does that mean Goofy is not going to be a playable character in a future Disney Infinity game? I always thought that Goofy, like Mickey, Donald and Minnie, should be a playable character, too, but I would think that Mickey's powers would defeat that purpose. I also think that Donald is not going to be summonable because he is already a playable character himself.

I still don't know why they didn't do a a Frozen playset for 1.0 or especially a Big Hero 6 playset for 2.0 (which fit the theme and had plenty of unique characters). Once again Disney gets the shaft

Post a comment on Disney Infinity's official Facebook page, telling them what you want. They DO take such feedback very seriously there--for example, some of the characters that are now playable in the game (such as Tinker Bell, Merida, Stitch, Aladdin, Mulan, etc.) are so because a lot of people posted comments on the page, tweets on their Twitter page, etc. asking for their inclusion.

Awesome. Now maybe we can convince the team to put Johnny Worthington in the game and include him as a playable figure/character. They should've done that for him in 1.0. Why they didn't is beyond me.

And Goofy, too! If he already appears as a summonable character, thanks to Mickey, then maybe it can be Sport Goofy, which would work well with the 2016 Olympics coming out!

Just because a character is summonable does not mean that they can't be a playable character in the future.

Well, I had posted my idea for Goofy (not Sport Goofy, just Goofy in general) on their Facebook page, as per your suggestion to do so because they do accept ideas, and they responded to me that they had received that suggestion from a few others as well and were considering Goofy for a later installment.

Looks cool and i'm digging this series.

Can't wait for SW, Inside, Tron and more.

They should do Muppets, Gargoyles, Indiana Jones, Willow Urgood from Willow (1988) (Lucasfilm remember?), Oz characters from both Disney Oz films, Monty and Gadget, Rebecca Cunningham, Balloo, Ghibli characters, Beagle Boys, Scrooge McDuck, Launchpad, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Roger Rabbit and more next.
