Disneyfan: those special features you listed are the ones on your BLU RAY?
Yes, they are. At least on the Norwegian version.

Please don't yell, as someone had already very kindly answered this question for me...but I forgot to write the answer down, and can't find it in the thread! Question is .... if I purchase the US Blu (for the lovely cover) will I be able to play it on my UK Blu player?
I am sorry for being stupid about this.... just that it will be quite a lot of money for just the cover if I can't use it!

There are many US blu-rays, who wouldn't work on a UK player, so this is not a stupid question! Disney on the other hand didn't use region codes for almost 3 years on blu-rays, so it's safe to say, you can play it on your UK blu-ray player.

Thats what I would think, but why does the press release say its a new restoration?
Because 'an all old restoration' doesn't sound nearly as catchy on TV spots and bus posters.
I wouldn't be surprised, if the new restoration is only used in countries, where the film will be released as Diamond Edition in February/ March. We will see...

Hey DisneyFan,
Thanks... those are the exact same special features as the Platinum Edition....
But the US blu ray announced the deleted song "never smile at a crocodile" and some other stuff as special features new to the blu ray... so Im guessing the US release will be different

has anyone actually noticed that Peter's face looks different on the bluray/DVD combo cover on the TV spots? Did they update the cover? cause they are still using the first art they came out with on like most sites.. but on the tv spot Wendy and peter's face look different. It loks much better!

Watch in HD!

I'm not really seeing a difference, but its very possible, just about every Diamond edition cover got modified a bit. Nala got redrawn for TLK cover.

for those interested, the bonus features for Return to Neverland BD are:
Deleted Scenes
Music video of I'll Try by Jonatha Brooke
and a "magical sneak peek"

Sneak peak of ..... ?

They just said "magical sneak peek"... I can't think of anything that should deserve a "magical sneak peek" on the RTN BD.

I'm not really sure how accurate the screencaps are on this site for the platinum edition's because they're small. I just thought I would show a interesting comparison. Disney claims in the US press release to have a "all new digital restoration." I took screenshots of the clips on youtube disney has uploaded to compare the pictures and you see that the colors are considerably lighter. Than you can compare it with Disneyscreencaps.com which according to them they have a 1080p blu-ray which means they most likely have the UK transfer. The blu-ray colors look close but they are slightly lighter. Comparison:

(Platinum Edition Review DVDizzy)

(Diamond Edition clip from youtube screenshot in small screen)
http://hq55.com/disney/pan/peterpan-dis ... s-2850.jpg (Disneyscreenshot.com assuming the UK blu-ray)
EDIT: Disney screencap linked because it alters the thread's size if I embed it. I understand they aren't exact frames, but they aren't bad enough to compare colors.

The colors in the UK transfer definitely look darker. I'm just afraid the restoration might be botched.

haha, relax! I used a previous comparison as the base for mine. Some frames were different on that one. I took the BD screenshots and matched them to the Platinum DVD

People who missed the Amazon.com $8 coupon got lucky about this $5 Peter Pan coupon. Wierd that it's not coming from DMR like previous Disney coupons.

Surprises me that someone hasn't gotten an advance copy yet. I really wanna know what the previews are on this release.
