Well, if that's the case, then hopefully we WILL be able to see Mermaid on the big screen.
At least, I hope that comes to pass...

Also Perhaps they will release it like they did Beauty & The Beast. I think it would be more profitable for Disney if they released it before the Blu Ray release but hey I would rather see it released in theaters even if it's after the Blu Ray but I'll take it either way.

That is the most classy Disney cover in years! I really hope they'll end up using it. Have they finally got some taste at Disney marketing/home video? All that money and such a huge company, and still the most promo covers and posters they use looks horrible.
And I hope Disney keeps converting the classics from the 90s to 3D. People will go see them in theaters, the Pixar movies are to new to be re-released.

Disney chose a very good cover and still are rereleasing it in the cinemas?
It's just too many good stuff. Disney don't do such a lot of good decisions like that this way. There must be a fail somewhere to bug me.

I don't think they are going to use that cover. That cover is a teaser poster from the original theatrical release and it is used again as a teaser poster for the 3D release.

Sorry to be nitpicking, but it's the teaser poster for the 1997 re-release.

Well as I said before, the image used to announce Peter Pan was the same as the final one used.

I'm sure they'll use it for the 3D Blu-Ray.

I don't think it will be identical, Disney can't leave a great cover art alone, they added gargoyles in Hunchbacks cover and tinkerbell peter pan's. They could go crazy with this cover and add a bunch of characters.

I think we may get this as the 3D four disc combo pack cover, as it is similar enough to Brave and Peter Pan, but we'll get a more character heavy cover for the standard 2D combo pack.
I agree though that they will probably add Sebastian, Flounder or both on top of the teaser image.

"Not sure if this was posted yet, but I found this on an article about TLM 3D "cancellation"
Ariel Mer • 7 days ago
They haven't CANCELLED it, it's being rescheduled. Sources blew it WAY out of proportion. I can't post on the Huffington Post yet because they won't approve my comment but if you see this.. please spread this around.
The dates are CHANGING and they just haven't given a new one yet. How do I know this?
Because I'm WORKING on this project. Proves that you can't trust everything on the internet.

What are you talking about? It HAS been cancelled! I haven't found ANYTHING on Google talking about a reschedule!

If it was cancelled why have I been on this project still full steam.
You won't find anything on google talking about a reschedule because Disney doesn't have a date yet. The movie is nearly complete, we're about 80% complete. The Disney Execs even called us to let us know that this info was misinterpreted."

Not to mention they have a trailer for it on the Peter Pan Blu-ray, which they've had plenty of time to remove.

I just hope it's not released AFTER the movie hits the Blu-ray market. *glares at the fact that the same happened for Beauty and the Beast*

Ahh, I had a feeling it was just delayed. Now we patiently wait to hear how much. Hopefully its still this year? I don't care if its before or after the blu ray release really, but the sooner the better.
I love how this random Jimmy guy acts like because he cant find anything saying otherwise on Google that the cancellation reports Have to be true. He sounds like a parody of the type of fan who acts like they know more than people working on it.

... I kind of care if it's released before or after the Blu-ray.
Mainly because it'll gain more bucks in theaters that way if it comes out before the Blu-ray hits shelves.

I don't partcularly care if Disney wants to release it before or after the Blu ray, I just want it in theaters even though it would be more wise to release it in theaters BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE BLU RAY

In theaters and with the proper bluray cover after cinematic release! All I ask

Yeah, I also think it would be more wise for them to have a cinematic release before the home video release. It will surely be a big hit, since it's one of the most beloved Disney classics, and who knows, maybe Disney will re-release other animated films in theaters in 3D, just no Pixar, cause those seem to work on their original release only.

I don't think they'll release it before it comes out unless its in August otherwise they would have to move their normal Diamond edition release date.

If Disney is still putting this in the cinema, then I have absolutely no doubt they will release it AFTER it has been put out on Bluray....as we all know Disney learns absolutely nothing from their mistakes. I don't have any doubt it would still do better than Monsters, Inc though; it has such a cult following that I'd be willing to bet all the 'Ariel-a-holics' will still go and see it in the cinema, despite purchasing it on Blu.
