Honestly I'm not sure why though. There was little chance this was ever going to be PG-13. In fact, the filmed version of the original stage play would likely be rated PG by today's standards. There's really nothing that warrants the story being PG-13 outside of some thematic elements and suggestive material (which it seems they have addresses). Nothing in Into the Woods really falls into the mold of what usually gets a film a PG-13. There's no bad language or sexually explicit scenes, and all of the deaths I'm guessing will happen off screen or in a whimsical way (
Jack's mother). I think anyone who complains about this is just another person who is looking for literally anything to complain about. And there are plenty of those people with this film. Honestly, doesn't anybody want the film to be good? Why put a gravestone on it over something that literally should have been expected?

I'm pretty sure the witch sings about being robbed and raped by the baker and Rapunzel's father.
There can not be such explicit references to rape in a Disney film.

I'm 99% sure the line "he was robbing me, raping me" isn't referring to anything of a sexual nature. Just that he stole from her garden.

The Witch sings, "He was robbing me, raping me" like the second line, "raping me", is an extension of "robbing me". Dictionary.com says the verb raped, raping, means "to force to have sexual intercourse.", "to plunder (a place); despoil.", and "to seize, take, or carry off by force.", and to plunder is to rob.
The only question I have is if Disney will allow the word "raping" in the film or if they will somehow change it.

From the leaked script, it stays the same, so Disney is not sneezing when it comes to
Into The Woods.

Oh, come on, Disney. That's the best you can do for Mr. Depp?

I think his costume looks disappointingly uninspired. According to the leaked script he also morphs into an actual wolf, which makes me glad that his bit is going to be brief in the film.

Those are lovely, but, yes, the Wolf's design is disappointing.

From the looks of things, Rob Marshall might be going for a Broadway feeling. In which case, the Wolf's look makes sense.

For the costumes, wow! Okay, I love the Wolf’s suit…but hate that it is modern and doesn’t fit the “once upon a time” period. I love some of Rapunzel’s costume but not the ribbons hanging off of it. I hate the Witch’s wig but love her costume. Fantastically amazing. And I love her make-up. She actually looks young and beautiful. And I love everyone else’s looks.
For the preview... OMG that preview was AAAAMMMMAAAZZZIINNGGGGGG!!!! EVERYONE, EVERYTHING, looks and sounds so GOOD!!!! Okay maybe some line delivery's didn't seem so good to me but maybe they will in the context of watching the final film! I can't believe how good this looks! It's like a dream come true! Meryl Streep's "Stay With Me" sounds so touching and heartfelt! Beautiful!
This films looks very, very good!

It's a little disappointing. I think they missed an opportunity for some great prosthetic makeup.

Cinderella now will sing “On the Steps of the Palace” while she’s on the steps of the palace?! Wow! Wonderful! I bet that was one of the reasons they did re-shoots! I heard they did re-shoots to do flashback scenes for songs that take place in the present while what they are singing about takes place in the past.
But from that one still, Cinderella shouldn't be sitting in the tar on the steps! She’ll ruin her gorgeous dress! EDIT: Oh, she's sitting on the part of the stairs not covered in pitch.
I wish Johnney Depp was made to look like a real wolf, with prosthetics. It doesn't make sense for him to be half human when he wasn't in the original fairy tale or in the original intention of the musical.

perhaps, they have added a dimension to the Wolf being more of a "werewolf", than actual an actual anthromorphic( is that a word?) wolf. Just a thought who knows..anyways, is there a confirmed soundtrack list yet? or confirmed songs to appear?

They either are trying to say his costume represents a real wolf or that he is a werewolf. I think either is dumb because in the original fairy tale and musical he is a real wolf and this movie is too literal to just have a man who represents a wolf while everyone else's looks are literal.
