Don't mind them. They complain about everything. Have you not check what been going on in that "hand drawn is dead" thread?
dvdjunkie wrote: "This show isn't made for older boys, it made for kids 3-7. You're nine and too old to watch".
indeed. Though I'm 25 and male, and I enjoy this show.

Yup way over the age of nine and enjoy watching the show. There's no way anybody is going to tell me "no " when there is a bunch of 30-35 year old Bronies out there. Na-huh.

Just picked up "Sofia the First Soundtrack" CD at Target and my five-year-old grand daughter thinks I am really special because I can sing along with her to every song. Only 13 tracks on the CD, but everyone of them belongs on the CD. Just wish that we didn't have to wait another six months or so for the next Volume of songs from the show.

The episode was cute. I loved learning more about Baileywick, since he was mainly a supporting character that was off in the distance, and only came around to provide some help and character development. And the ending was very sweet.
But is this really the last episode of the season for now? Nothing else pops up after this episode, save for the special Princess-cameo episodes.

You know, I hate to admit it, but I do kind of enjoy that cute show. I like Minimus. He's so cute and cuddly.

I'm not sure. However one thing to note is that The "He's Baileywick" song is NOT in the Sofia the first album but there is another song in there "Royal Fun" that has yet to be shown So I'd imagine there is more episodes coming out soon. We just hasn't got info on when.

Poor Jasmine. She looks like she came out of a low-budget video game.

As much we both disagree on stuff especially concerning this show, I do have to agree on their attempt on Jasmine here.

Guest voice stars include Viola Davis and Megan Mullally on Sofia the First, which will also welcome Disney princess Jasmine to be voiced by Linda Larkin and sung by Lea Salonga. THR debuts an exclusive image featuring Sofia and Jasmine, which airs June 14.
I'm so glad to see Linda and Lea back!

Sofia and Amber visit Prince Zandar, in the desert kingdom of Tangu, and get lost on a flying carpet. They meet Princess Jasmine and learn it’s important to try new things.
Episode title: Two to Tangu

Sofia and Amber goes to Zandar's kingdom but not James? That makes no sense considering James is Zandar's best friend.

See, the main reason I am not quick to diss on this Jasmine render is because it looks to be a hastily put together image to give people an idea of what to expect once Jasmine makes her debut. The Sofia render has been used extensively before, and Jasmine looks unfinished, like she needs more polish before her final debut. So I am reserving my judgement till the episode airs.

Don't listen to them. This what you expect from disney hand drawn wankers who think they are cool shit and not use their heads. Like as if Jasmine never ever was off model and shitty-drawn before in the hand drawn tv series.
You're also correct that that image is more of a promotional use with clipart quality art and pose. Sofia is clear example of that.

The difference is that low-budget CG looks worse than low-budget hand-drawn. For example, the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty look much worse in Sofia the First than they do in Enchanted Tales or even in House of Mouse.
The same goes for Cinderella. She looked worse in Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess than she did in Cinderella II: Dreams Come True. The difference in quality is self-evident.

Uuuuh, no. Bad animation is still bad animation, regardless the medium used, for what purposes it was used, what budgets they used or what they were trying to do with it. Excusing bad 2D animation while denouncing the faults of bad 3D animation is like excusing a gross belch but making a scene when someone farts: just because one smells the least it doesn't make it any less gross.

I didn't excuse bad 2D animation. I simply compared the two. Between bad 2D and bad CG animation, 2D is the lesser of two evils.
