I think that you aren't putting much thought into it.Big Disney Fan wrote:What do you think, guys?
I just fixed that. I sometimes make mistakes like that. And as for the Treasures, that was the point of these sets. As I said earlier, the feature film DVDs I'm dreaming up are kind of a cross between Platinum Editions and Walt Disney Treasures. They will even be contained in tins, like the Treasures.yamiiguy wrote:I think it's fantastic, except for that which I just highlightedBig Disney Fan wrote:Here's a Legacy Edition of Bambi!

Well, unfortunately, I've never been a real fan of Bambi, so I kinda ran out of ideas. Sorry.TheSequelofDisney wrote:I think that you aren't putting much thought into it.Big Disney Fan wrote:What do you think, guys?
Well, you really don't have to be a fan of any movie to come up with "ideas".Big Disney Fan wrote:Well, unfortunately, I've never been a real fan of Bambi, so I kinda ran out of ideas. Sorry.
What I meant by that was I've never been much of a researcher on Bambi as I have been of others I do like, especially Pinocchio. THAT one that I made, for me at least, takes the cake for me. It's actually a DVD collection of the first five Disney feature films, Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo and Bambi. I call it the Fab Five Box Set (AKA the First Disney Masterpieces Box Set). It's kinda like everyone else's Disney Renaissance Box Set and Fab Four Box Set ideas (both of which consist of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King). Each movie will have four discs each and are based on concepts I have thought up, save for Fantasia, which will have eight discs.TheSequelofDisney wrote:Well, you really don't have to be a fan of any movie to come up with "ideas".Big Disney Fan wrote:Well, unfortunately, I've never been a real fan of Bambi, so I kinda ran out of ideas. I think I have had it here. What part of "Fantasia" did you actually come up with? If I remember correctly, which I normally do, <strike>half</strike> the majority that you posted in your "Fantasia" Legacy Collection was soley from Al (Escapay if you haven't any clue). Which is, hey, why he isn't here anymore. At least you could come up with something that was entirely yours, not entirely his. It's not that hard. For example, if you were thinking up something for a "Legacy Collection" for, say, "The Lion King" let's think what we could do. Hmmmm, what animals are in "The Lion King"? I believe there are lions, meerkats, warthogs, and more among many things. Now what would be the easiest way to make up a simple featurette. Put something about the freakin' animals! It isn't too terribly difficult. A caveman could do it for crying out loud!! I have seriously had it up to my head with you. Now I really wasn't going to do this, but now I must:Big Disney Fan wrote: Each movie will have four discs each and are based on concepts I have thought up, save for Fantasia, which will have eight discs.
So do you hate me for my efforts? Look, I'm sorry, but I really stink at originating things on my own. I warned Escapay that I would have a difficult coming up with things "entirely mine" and not "entirely his", but did he listen to reason?!!??!?! NO!!!!! Look, I'm horrible at doing things on my own. You do hate me, don't you? Why don't you make unsubcribe or something?!?!TheSequelofDisney wrote:I think I have had it here. What part of "Fantasia" did you actually come up with? Please moderator of any sort, I would like to lock this thread until I contact one of you and say that I would like to unlock it. Also, if I may, as originator of this topic, I would like it that any future threads, in this forum, that reflect the ideas of the "Ultimate Disney DVD Thread" should be locked as well for I would not like the tangles of my creative mind to wander loose upon a vast forum where subjects can be "blantantly plagarized".

I'm sorry, but that is pathetic. You know that if more than half of anything that you do, taking from someone else, is plagarizing? And since "your" Fantasia DVD was almost an exact replica of Al's, with a few things switched around and like 1% of your creativity, you managed to mess things up.Big Disney Fan wrote:So do you hate me for my efforts? *takes breath*
Please, you can't lock this thread. Where will we be able to post our DVD ideas? Are we forbidden from ever putting up other set ideas ever again now? And please provide another answer besides, "Don't know, don't care". Why do you have get in a snit just because not everything people have are their own ORIGINAL ideas that they and ONLY THEY have thought up? It's stupid, if you ask me. Besides, if you just kept locking threads for DVDs, that would just take up more and more bandwidth.
Well, in any case, you really hurt my feelings deeply here, Sequel. Why did you have to go and do that? I'm starting to feel sorry for myself now. I will never be able to put my ideas anywhere else now, and neither will anyone else. So what if some people can't be more "original". There's only so much you can do on a movie idea, you know. Besides, I don't really know how to go into more detail on where to turn to for additional material. Can you help me so I won't make the same "mistake" again? Please! I won't make the mistake again, I promise! Give me another chance! Give everyone else a chance, too! I'm sorry! I'm very, very, VERY sorry!![]()

What do you mean by that? Are you saying that I can go over there and unload my DVD ideas?TheSequelofDisney wrote:And guess what, there is a nice little DVD thread in the Off-Topic forum, only it isn't Disney related. So, I'm sure you can find some other outlet for your "creativity".
Yes, as long as they are not Disney-related DVDs.Big Disney Fan wrote:What do you mean by that? I don't know, somewhere else. It's just sad that you can't make up something on your own. I already gave an example on how easy it is so there isn't any room for you to complain. I don't want you coming in here and copying everything that someone else did. In the US, that's ILLEGAL if you don't cite it. So just don't do it.Big Disney Fan wrote:But where can I unload the Disney-related DVD ideas if not here?

So are you saying I am never allowed to do ideas for Disney DVDs ever again here? You know, there's only so much you can do on a DVD idea. Or didn't that ever cross your mind? How about this: 1) next time, don't be harsh. 2) What if I cited what I copied from now on, like a bibliography?TheSequelofDisney wrote:I don't know, somewhere else. Yes, as long as you keep up what you are doing: copying. No, if you come up with something original and do not take anything from anyone else ever again.Big Disney Fan wrote:So are you saying I am never allowed to do ideas for Disney DVDs again here?
That's not true. There is an infinite amount of possibilities, it's just that some people haven't thought of them yet.You know, there's only so much you can do on a DVD idea. Or didn't that ever cross your mind?
Well, I think that Bambi DVD idea of mine needs work anyway. But I can't truly think of anything original to add. Maybe you can help me with some ideas? Well, as long as you cite them correctly. Use citationmachine.com and use the MLA format, then it would be okay, I guess. I don't know, I'll half to think about it.Big Disney Fan wrote:Well, I think that Bambi DVD idea of mine needs work anyway. But I can't truly think of anything original to add. Well, look, don't take this the wrong way or anything, but just because it's easy for you to come up with stuff for DVDs on your own, it doesn't mean it's easy for everybody. Some people can't always conjure up stuff of their very own, you know. I'm sorry, but not everyone has the supreme creativity that you have. Besides, that Robin Hood DVD of yours has stuff not owned by Disney! Your RH DVD proves you can only go so far! Did you know that?! Robin Hood Daffy is from Warner Bros., not DISNEY!!!! You can't use bonus features of stuff for Disney movies if they're not FROM Disney. When doing a Disney DVD, use only stuff related to Disney, not anything else, that's my rule.TheSequelofDisney wrote:I don't know, somewhere else. I made a new DVD of Robin Hood. A DVD made up completely from my brain without taking any other elements from anyone else except for myself and a little (like 5%) of Al's
Yes, but not everyone cannot just copy or the world would just shatter into a million tiny pieces.Big Disney Fan wrote:Well, look, don't take this the wrong way or anything, but just because it's easy for you to come up with stuff for DVDs on your own, it doesn't mean it's easy for everybody. Yes, that might be your rule, but it's not the rule, not that there even is one. Everything on a Disney DVD does not have to be completely Disney. You don't see just a particular studios film with bonus features by that particular studio. Mix things up a bit. On the French "Peter Pan" DVD it has the silent PARAMOUNT version on it, and Paramount certainly isn't Disney. Disney DVDs are banned to just Disney. You don't want a DVD to just to have experiences of Disney, but from the world, that's why DVDs are interesting, that's why I make DVDs, because they are interesting. The bonus features don't have to be pro-Disney, otherwise that takes the fun out of everything. More things from DIFFERENT cultures, studios, religions, everything makes it a worthwhile set. So Disney DVDs aren't limited to just Disney. Did you see my "Sleeping Beauty" set? There were things on there that weren't Disney at all. So there really isn't room for you to complain.Besides, that Robin Hood DVD of yours has stuff not owned by Disney! Your RH DVD proves you can only go so far! Did you know that?! And why would I create stuff for you? Being the notorious plagiarizer that you are, I wouldn't trust any of my stuff to go into your hands. So count me out. Oh yeah, and "your" Bambi DVD still has some stuff that wasn't yours, i.e. bonus features. Keep thinking about it, or I will actually get someone to close this thing.Anyway, I'm considering redoing Bambi and Fantasia, but I can't really come up with stuff on my own. Maybe you could come up with some things? Provided those bonus things come ONLY from Disney and nowhere else!
