It's not 2009? wait wait,The Princess and the Frog will be out in winter 2009,so Rapunzel will be out in 2010?.

Thanks for posting that info, veu! From the character description, it sounds like Bastion might wind up being the Prince's name in this film.

I don't know about that. Maddy (of The Frog Princess) was Tiana's name when they put out voice ads. So, his name could easily change, though I like Bastion.

Bastian reminds me of The Neverending Story...wasn't that the kid's name?

It's okay

do you think it will be out in the winter? they should release a Princess film in the summer someday, thought when it's winter it's one of the good things about winter, but Ariel's Beginning is in the summer.

No, Disney DACs are definitely a winter thing when families go to the movies together when everybody is off work school. Much nicer like that.
Ariel's Beginning is a freakin' sequel, so that doesnt' count.

I liked
Rapunzel's old logo better, without
Unbraided of course.
Disney's Divinity's right, it looks too much like
Enchanted's logo. Here's the old and new compared:
I also like the old tower much better. It was far more creative, gave Rapunzel more room atop the tower, and was cheerier. All this make more sense for a motherly witch who wants to keep her adopted daughter happy. Also, Rapunzel's new tower looks much more...phallic, which goes along with the Freudian idea of Rapunzel being trapped in one - which is not a good idea. The old and new compared:

I think the change to the tower signifies that Disney is making the witch from the story into the villain; which makes perfect sense if you ask me. Once she banishes Rapunzel to the forest (probably to die) the prince will discover she is alive and go on a rescue mission to save her, while the witch attempts to thwart him. Kinda like a combo of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty premises.
I really hope they keep the Prince's blindness in the movie. I know it would make me root for him more if he's attempting to rescue her without the sense of sight. It could also be used as a tool for sight-gags (no pun intended).
I also really wish they would keep Rapunzel's pregnancy in the movie, but come on, this is Disney afterall.

As always I totally agree with you on this Disney Duster.
I too prefer the original set-up, the current logo misses it's original vibe as well.
Knowing that Glen Keane is pulling the strings (or should I say HAIR) on this one, I still have faith this may turn out to be a great movie!
Can't wait for it to come out!

I think the new logo is good, thought the old logo more looks like a fairy tale.
The Prince looks like Eric

.
I think that maybe she's the villain in this version (like Ursula that the Sea Witch story wasn't a villain).
No,it's not good if it's phallic.

I actually like the newer version of the tower better. If the witch is meant to be a villain, then the tower should be menacing vs. the light-hearted atmosphere of the original design. And, if the tower is
phallic, then that's a step forward for Disney. You'd expect the female part to portray the evil (see Ursula's Lair). It also creates multitudes of symbolism/subtext, which is never a bad thing.
