I will definitely be getting "DuckTales."
I'd run home from school in second grade to watch that show and "Chip 'n Dale." I can't WAIT!

It's the one on the left.
I hope so. Those bumpers were great. All the Original Disney TV shows had great bumpers. I like the rescue ranger one where Gadget is decending with her "bo suction gun thing" from Nimnol's forhead.
LONG AGO I took some screen grabs of the ducktales bumpers. ENJOY!

Can anyone post a picture of the disk art that's supposedly out?
Also, I know for a fact that the 5-Part Intro in Rescue Rangers was made during the second season, so that will undoubtedly be the reason it's missing. Also, although I'm not certain, I think it's a big possibility that the 5-Part Intro to DuckTales was made later in the first season, but was aired first (all 65 episodes appeared in 13 straight weeks, so they must have made them all at once). Disney could be going by production numbers instead of by when they were aired.

Ducktales 'pilot' was definatly made before Series 1. It was made as a telemovie, but it everybody liked it so much they decided to make a series.

and where can this art be seen?
As for the inclusion of the 5-part pilots on volume 1, I very much doubt it.
Don't know who said they are included, as I doubt this is the case.

Maybe you should check out the front page once in a while

Will one of those who said the 5-parter will be included please give some evidence of that? The cover art is not evidence; photos on cover art often portray episodes not on the discs themselves. Look at the Seinfeld Seasons 1-3 pack for an example of that.

Thats definantly correct. I have the Wonderful World of Disney Television Book, and it goes into great detail about the cartoons of the 80's and 90's. It mentions Golden Suns being a one-off TV movie, but the producers were so impressed with it a series was comissoned.
We know the Pilot isn't on there, because lots of people have confirmed this by recieving emails. One person has seen the picture of Donald on the cover for disk one and got a little carried away. Donald has been in lots of episodes. I think the picture is from All Ducks on Deck, Defiantly the other two are from Dinosaur Ducks and Microducks from Outer Space, respectively

True. The art from the first cover portray the episode "All ducks on deck", which is not included in any of the discs at all. It was earlier used as a cover for the VHS "Seafaring sailors":

Gotta love BVHE... The money saved on re-drawing old case art to save a buck would of made Scrooge proud.
At least CNDRR got something slightly more original, even if it's just character clipart and a screengrab with a logo thrown in... Something I could have though of in my sleep...

Yeah, it's very dissapointing. They've only touched it up slighty which is very lazy

scroogemcd,
Before I make the treck into the State Library to get the Wonderful World of Disney TV Book out of the Stack (a painful process), does it include anything on Quack Pack or Goof Troop?

"Goof Troop", yes, there's a few pages of episode guide and overview. "Quack Pack" - I don't see anything, but the information only really takes us up to 1996, so that would explain its absence.

Thanks Luke.
To read these books it's a day trip to the CBD because the library is reference only, so I only want to go in if it's worth it. I think I'll visit it next time I go in for 'Building a Dream: A History of Disney Architecture' and 'Storming the Magic Kingdom.

I did, but couldn't find it
Last time I was on here I didn't have much time and there is a hell of lot to read through on the front page. I just skimmed through very quick and must have missed it
Thanks for posting the pic anyway.

They should include "Sport Goofy In Soccermania" on the Ducktales set. It really is the original template for the series, and has lots of Scrooge McDuck (with a non-Alan Young voice) and the Beagle Bros.
Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers should have some classic Chip N' Dale shorts as extras too.
I can't help thinking Disney are skimping on these sets. They seem to be cramming the episodes on a limited number of discs, and have no intention of putting any extras on
