^I'm concerned, too (how can we not be?), but it's a step in the right direction (after all)... My husband was reading something yesterday about the Orange Goblin's™ supporters starting their own political party or something.

Took my first Covid test today. They said I should get my results in the next 2-4 days. Noticed when I took an antacid that I couldn’t taste the flavor, only the chalky texture. Then I raided the fridge trying lemon juice. honey, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers. I could taste some of them a little bit (the jalapeño peppers I could taste, unfortunately) but aside from the jalapeño peppers, the flavors were either muted or undetectable. Mildly freaking out, hope I don’t have it. Sometimes I get in my head about this kind of thing... :/

 :( Nooo. Is your nose stuffy at all? I'm hoping it's just a cold or something similar. How are you feeling otherwise??

No my nose isn’t stuffy... although I have been sneezing a bit these past few days, which isn’t a covid symptom. But I have been coughing a little too, and my throat is starting to feel sore. I have a mild headache, but that started immediately after the nasal swab so I think that may be the culprit. I have no fever.

Overall, I don’t feel bad. If I have symptoms, they are mild, for now at least. The taste is the big thing so far. :/ Mostly I’m just worried that I have it.

WebMD says "Anything that irritates and inflames the inner lining of your nose and makes it feel stuffy, runny, itchy, or drippy can affect your senses of smell and taste. This includes the common cold, sinus infections, allergies, sneezing, congestion, the flu, and COVID-19."

It's scary not knowing. :( I am thinking of you. <3

Thank you, Amy. Just ate a chocolate chip cookie which didn’t taste like anything...

Oh no Brelly! I didn't know people could get Covid from the vaccine! Well, maybe quarantine yourself, and then if you do have it, at least you got the vaccine, and you may never get it again? I will say a prayer for you!

Woah, woah, woah, thank you for the prayers but I have not had the vaccine. I think you misread me. I’m still on the waiting list.

Oh you said Covid test not vaccine! Sorry!

I will send another prayer you don't have it! Or that if you do, it doesn't spread and neither you or anyone else get hurt!

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts everyone— I am negative!!!

I really thought I had it, so I am relieved but also confused. I’ve never lost my sense of taste before (and it started to return last night so it was only briefly absent). It’s possible I had a cold or maybe a bad case of allergies (usually my allergies flare up this time of year, but it always manifests as terrible migraines...). I do feel better, although I still have a bit of a cough. Anyway... I am happy and so ready for the vaccine!

:pink: I've been worried about you! I'm so happy you're negative. I saw this online a couple days ago and thought of you, but I didn't want to make you feel worse somehow. I'm glad you're doing better, and I hope your cough goes away soon!!!

Of course Brelly! Hopefully you get your sense of taste back, but since you didn't get Covid, you should get it back!

How everyone is doing? It feels like I have pretty much recovered. About a month ago I had my gallbladder removed because of a case of acute pancreatitis ten days earlier, which left me hospitalized for days. On the plus side, I tested negative for the virus.
My cousin was infected, and she has lost the sense of taste as well. Don't know if has come back yet. Hopefully it will return to all those infected eventually.

Oh so you are ok now after the surgery? Glad you tested negative, too. Sorry about your cousin, I hope she and everyone get their senses of taste back as well.
