I agree, it continued with the same quality. It was a nice episode, and Eugene was hilarious in it.

Here's a preview for next week's episode:

I watched it online and it had the end credits song, but maybe it wasn't shown on TV. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC_BVGYDNfo
And here's the show's intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcYlmIln10U
Sotiris wrote:The song "More of Me" from the end credits of the TV series is now available on Spotify, Amazon, and iTunes. The song was written by Andy Dodd and Dewain Whitmore Jr. This is the second time Menken & Slater weren't allowed to write an end-credit song for Tangled. Is it because Disney doesn't think they can write a pop song? That's just insulting.
Yes, it's a bit disrespectful to them, especially given that it's the second time it happens. At least, they could finally use the song they wrote for the end credits of Tangled in the TV series.

I watched it on one of those websites that stream movies illegally. It's the only way I have to watch it for now. I'm sure the series will be aired on Disney Channel Spain soon, but they haven't announced anything yet.

That video isn't available in my country. If someone else has that problem, here's another link I found, but I don't know how much it will last before it gets deleted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTHgGrlg9fY

It gave me that impression too. We'll see. And when will the mystery be revealed? I wouldn't be surprised if they waited till the last episode of the season to do it.

The Esmeralda look-alike was back in the Uncle Monty episode (when Flynn's trying to distract the crowd for Cassandra).

They aired the last ep before it (with Varian, the alchemist kid; I looked up his voice actor, and it’s the guy from the Newsies musical!) and I couldn’t help thinking that Flynn has more chemistry with anyone than Rapunzel. I hope Monty and Varian are going to be recurring secondary characters. This show might end up like the Aladdin series, where I kind of prefer the show to the movie in a lot of ways. I might check out the BH6 series for that reason; I may like it more than the movie.

I read somebody say--maybe here or elsewhere--that WIR should've got a TV series, but I have a feeling the reason it didn't/hasn't is because of how expensive it would be to borrow misc. video game characters like Pac Man and so on. I mean, they could just invent everything entirely, but it would lose a little bit of its effect. I would've said no to a Frozen TV series for the same reasons I thought a Tangled show wouldn't work, but it has so far.

Would you recommend this show for someone who has absolutely no love for the original movie?

(Off-topic, but I love your newest signature picture Disney's Divinity! Every one you make is always so amazing. Do you have an online gallery where they can all be viewed?)

Yeah. Most people know I don't hold a great fondness for Tangled.

Thank you--I'm glad someone liked this one because I love Hercules and wanted it to have a good banner. :P I might make a thread with all the signatures together once I have more of them. I've been trying to go through and fill all the holes lately--doing the films I haven't done, re-doing banners that weren't particularly good, etc.

Thank you! The ep. descriptions sound better than the Monty episode. Do we know how many episodes the first season will have?

No problem! I liked the Monty episode, but I agree, the next episodes sound more interesting. Regarding the number of episodes of this season, I found the answer to your question some pages back:
Sotiris wrote:Zachary Levi revealed that there are only going to be 78 episodes in total over the course of three seasons. It seems weird that they've pre-determined the number of episodes and seasons the show is going to last long before it airs.
Q: Could we talk about Tangled?

Zachary Levi: At this point, there’s not a sequel but we are doing a TV show. It’s 26 episodes a season for three seasons. This series basically tales place between the end of Tangled and before they end up getting married in whatever those adventures were.

I wish this had more songs like Galavant, or even the usual one per episode of Elena of Avalor.

I like the animation and the stories, but I think it misses some of the sass Gothel gave the original. I loved her in the movie but without her, the show is a bit boring.
I'm also waiting for some emotional scenes. The scene where Eugene was wounded and Rapunzel was crying over his body with the 'you were my new dream' quote broke my heart and I am missing some of that magic in the series. Sure, the scene between the queen and Rapunzel in the tv-movie where she hands her the journal was cute, but not as emotional.

I am happy that they decided to give this a limited run. That way, they can tell the story they want without it dragging on too long.

Finally caught up with the last episode. It's really bizarre how much I like Flynn/Eugene here considering I hated him in the movie. I think a lot of it has to do with his 2D design being closer to some concept drawings of him for the film. I thought for sure Rapunzel's painting would be her surrounded by her hair.
