Seems like a good call since I don't think anything will be opened in 2020.

Something about these four countries postponing their openings, but the US cutting short the production on Broadway altogether instead of putting it on hold doesn’t feel entirely fair.

Frozen was just never the success Disney expected on Broadway. There were fairly belieavable rumours that it would close with the exit of Caissie and Patti or be around until labor day and then close, and given how quick Disney was to axe it, I assume the labor day one was true had things stayed the same. It may do a lot better in other markets, and closing on Broadway means they don't have to build a whole new sets and costumes, at least in the UK, where they would probably pay for it.

I think replacing the beloved Aladdin stage show at DCA with Frozen was initially controversial. Over time, guests began to warm to Frozen— some people even said it was better than the Broadway show. With yesterday’s news that Broadway will stay closed until at least June 2021, this news just feels like salt in the wound. More jobs for performers lost! In Florida, they have laid off the Grand Floridian’s band and there are rumors that the Voyage of the Little Mermaid stage show is on the chopping block, too. Who knows what will and won’t come back.

A very short video (posted the same day as the Laughing Place article that you just posted), but it's neat seeing a glimpse of the making of the sets and the costumes:

they won't do that. Isn't Aladdin still running on your Broadway? When I visited the states last, it was showing there and I saw it. To put it on Disney plus means that no one will pay to watch it if they can see it free at home. I think Aladdin is the 2nd most successful Disney show after Lion King which is still running so these two will never be on Disney plus.
Beauty and the beast is getting a new show right? They coulda done the oirginal show but no with the new one they wont. And Mermaid was a flop I think so I doubt they would pay to do that again on stage. Frozen makes most sense cuz the show was not good (or so I heard I never saw it or wanted to) but ppl still love Frozen so kiddies will go to watch it on disney plus for free. They can market it as the new Frozen live.
