Seriously gutted this has been delayed

I get that they want to take more time to work on their movies but now I just wish this was switched with
The Good Dinosaur, just really not at all interested in seeing that. By the time we get Finding Dory it'll have been 13 years.

Blackfish was an eye opener for me. It's one of those word of mouth films. And boy have I been spreading the word.
I always knew keeping orcas in captivity is wrong, but the lengths to which Sea World has gone to cover up the atrocities involved in the treatment of these creatures is appalling and shocking. I am rarely if ever moved to tears but that film brought me there.
Seriously people. See this film. And never visit Sea World again.

Yeah, I won't visit there again myself. I saw most of it, but I can't get myself to watch the whole thing again. Mainly because of the part where the offspring was forcibly separated from their mother, and then hearing the cries, was just incredibly heartbreaking and sad.

I don't need the film to see how god-awful SeaWorld is, I already KNOW how awful the treatment to the animals are.
Weren't we talking about Finding Dory?

Uhm, wow. Sorry for going off topic for a second.
Even if you already KNOW how awful Sea World is, it doesn't hurt spreading the word on this documentary and its message. Also, Finding Dory is related to the film in the sense that PIXAR met with the filmmaker in order to align the film with an updated view of the way we should treat the oceans and life in it.
I think that's interesting and I hope the film will incorporate a strong message. I know people hate environmentalist themes in entertainment, like in Happy Feet, (God forbid we're forced to think about stuff and be considerate, eww!!!), but PIXAR has always done a great job of incorporating larger themes into their films, such as in Ratatouille, WALL-E, Monsters, University and Up. I hope they continue this trend in Finding Dory.

I think the only thing to talk about, is the jumbled mess with this delay could create. I very much doubt that we will be getting 2 Disney and 1 Pixar film within the same year, so my guess, one of the Disney films will have to get moved.
Still, it does not take away the fact that there will be a void in the summer of 2014.

That's okay it happens.
Oh and as long as Finding Dory avoids the sequel problem that Cars 2 suffered, then I think were fine.

True. Let's forget that film exists.

Kaitlin Olson has joined the movie as Dory's adopted sister, a killer whale!

The Fact that Dory is going to have and adopted sister who is a Killer Whale really has me more interested in this film more than I have before. I guess I'm just suffering from being scared about The Pixar Sequel That Should Not Be named happening.
Also I thought Monsters University was stale and not really that good compared to it's predecessor. So far in my mind, the only Pixar Sequels that were truly epic are Toy Story 1 & 2

Orcas are probably my favorite ocean dwelling animal, thanks in part to Free Willy. It'll be cool to see what they do with it.

I hope there's not a Blackfish-type subplot

Pixar has been known to touch issues like this and we know a Sea World type environment is in the movie, but that won't be the flavor of the month controversy by the time this comes out anyways.

It's the weirdest Wire reunion I ever heard of.
Besides, there should also be bubbles there, as well.

Gosh, what an unusual choice for a teaser poster ! Thank you for posting; I wonder if they will put it out in cinemas as well ?

I remember when I was at Disney World of the summer when Tangled was coming out, they did a concept art piece for a poster too at Disney.
