New episode this Friday of Sofia the First.
Picked up the DVD of "Once Upon A Princess" for my five-year-old grand daughter and she watches it almost every day. Some nice extras on the DVD to keep her busy.
I didn't think we were getting a new episode until March 29th, but am happy that we have a new one this Friday, March 15.

The DVD comes with a little booklet on how to be a Princess. Also a graduation certificate when you have completed the steps, that says you are now a Princess.
Probably my granddaughter's favorite thing is the Tiara, although made out of very stiff paper, she can put all the jewels she wants on the tiara, and change them whenever she wants.
Also there is a sing-a-long bit on the disc with all the words to the songs in the film.
Not a whole lot, but enough to keep a 5-year-old busy.

I'm pretty sure that this won't be episode 13 because amazon.com confirmed that this episode will air this December, and it will be a Christmas themed episode.
Sofia the First: Holiday in Enchancia
A snowstorm prevents King Roland from returning home in time for the holidays. Sofia leads her family on a brave expedition to find him, and shows Amber that spending the holiday with loved ones is better than any present. I was thinkng of that too but if you notice lately, the new episodes have been appearing far and between. Next new episode is april 12. The most recent new one debuted march 15. That's practically a month apart gap between two episodes.
Considering next new one is episode 8 and still got 5 more episodes after that, I would be surprise if episode 13 does air in December.

I have been watching several episodes. Where are the Disney Princesses? I haven't seen any since Cinderella appeared in the first episode. What are the fairies from Sleeping Beauty doing there? I guess they don't care about Aurora anymore.

The princesses will appear on special episodes, we have three more confirmed for this year so far:
Belle's episode will air this September
Sofia the First: All Croaked Up
Sofia is chosen to sing the Enchancian Anthem at the annual Harvest Festival. After she becomes a bit too boastful, Sofia's magical amulet bestows a curse on her, leaving her all croaked up! Based on a special episode featuring Princess Belle airing on Disney Junior in September 2013!
Ariel's episode will air this November
Sofia the First: The Floating Palace
Sofia meets Princess Ariel in this adorable mermaid tale!
During her family vacation on a floating palace, Sofia befriends a mermaid, and through their friendship, helps save the mermaid's kingdom and brings their two worlds together. Based on the Disney Junior movie event featuring Princess Ariel airing in mid-November 2013!
Aurora's episode will air this December

I hope Aurora wears blue and she stays around longer then Cinderella since Cinderella was around for a few minutes and teleported back to wherever she came from. They should have made her stay for the rest of the episode.

And how about the new princesses? This show advertised as if there will be princesses every few episodes when we're getting NADA?

And shouldn't Anna and Elsa be in the holiday one for advertising Frozen?

The thing is that with only there being 10 princesses (and it is likely not all of them will appear), not only would Disney be running out of princesses to feature on a daily basis, the gimmick would overcome its welcome. I think Disney was wise in not featuring princcess cameos in all the episodes, saving them for special occasions and when the story needs them. That way, people can stay invested in the original world and characters while still be surprised by the princess appearances.

I like the song in this weekend's episode. It has a nice melody and sequence.

That's a great story. It's amazing that a total stranger would have the nerve to step into a conversation and add in something so controversial. I mean, even those people with conservative views on stuff like that must see that they are a dying breed in today's society.

What about all the people on this thread that complain about the animation or the lack of princesses and things like that?
Don't they know this is meant for children 3-7 years of age, and my five-year-old will even tell you the same thing. One of her cousins, who is nine was making rude remarks about the show Friday, and Tymber just looked at him, "This show isn't made for older boys, it made for kids 3-7. You're nine and too old to watch".

I don't know. I can certainly see that happening where I live, quite easily. The old lady's act of kindness, not so much. But I'm glad to hear this story. Eventually, change will spread everywhere.
