That German cover is the best I have seen so far.. it's such a shame they've gone to pasting horizontal titles on everything over here.
As for the DVD Edition in a Blu-ray case in the advert, I'd say simply a misprint and will be corrected upon production and release.
And as far as the 2-Movie Collection covers go, I must admit that the Cinderella 2 & 3 cover is pretty decent.

wow! the Cinderella 2 cover art is beautiful. the one for the third movie will be modified in the near future. I noticed that Germans have the habit of using an old artwork for a new Disney release if a new one isn't provided yet, so there's a big chance we'll get a new cover.
I'm really looking forward to buying all 3 movies.

Is Amazon still doing the special offer for the 3-Disc Cinderella? I can't...tell...because it's not at full price but...I dunno...
Anyway, wow! The new Cinderella II cover really is beautiful, to me! Though the magical-looking key held by the mice makes no sense...at all...in fact, it would only make sense in the first or third movie where they carry such an important key! And yes, the cover for both sequels is really something, I find it very beautiful and aweing. Still not necessarily gonna make me buy it...we'll see...I love the third one. I really hope that does get a new cover, too.
I think they have the DVD cover in the Blu-ray case as a mistake as it says "DVD Edition" on it of course lol. Unless their Blu-ray will have a cover which will look more like that cover, but be new and different and even more impressive (yea right haha) in which I would be very very happy if it weren't so unlikely.
By the way Walmart is going to have
this offer of the Cinderella Blu-ray with what seems to be a pumpkin coach tin piggy bank. It's great that it's so gender neutral and not girly, but...it's so lame. Why not a really nice box to just put stuff in, like the Cinderella jewerly box gift set should be...or just a really nice, well-done pumpkin coach figure, with Cinderella in it? If you're a fan, and it's nice enough, you'll want it.
Oh, and by the way, today I so unexprectedly and wonderfully saw two books that feature illustrations for this new release of Cinderella that I believe Floyd Norman talked about working on. One was a special "record your voice reading for a child" books and the other was the Read-Along with CD, which Toys R Us accidentally got in early, lucky me! When I saw the illustrations...they were so almost unbelievably gorgeous, to me. The illustrations are not just lovely, and really good, they also really do capture the film. A lot of it made me feel some of what I remember loving so much about the film! They even captured some of the artful drama, like when the background turns red while the stepsisters ragingly shred Cinderella's gown!
The only thing is, sometimes they did illustrations that were clearly based on illustrations from previous books, instead of just the movie and their own imagination! And for some reason the Prince was always drawn perfectly and just like in the movie, but Cinderella was off-model a lot, and sometimes the stepmother and stepsisters really were, too! Even colors were off-model, and they seemed to as usual make Cinderella look more blonde and blue than she should, when I thought it would be different with an artist like Floyd Norman who respects the original so much working on it, but alas, it's all still gorgeous, I was even amazed at how stunning the transformation picture was! This is the book that Toys R Us got early and had the most illustrations and just enchanted me for most of my day, though I may not buy it since I know the illustrations will be repeated in other books that will come out a few months later that might be better as in they won't come with a CD I don't use. Even the cover's gorgeous and just like the film:

Looks like this is turning out to be very much a 'Princess' release which is a shame.
Will this be released in cinemas for a bit, like the other winter Diamond additions have been ? Or no as it isn't 3D ?

Is this supposed to be gender neutral? It's so disapointing to see that Disney releases only princess related items when it comes to Cinderella. I know she's the most beloved princess in the franchise, but I find it a bit tacky.
It would have been so cool if they released a deluxe collector's set like they did with Snow White. If not that, at least that book set.

The advertising for the princess franchise goes no further than girls under 10, when in reality this is a movie that can and should be enjoyed by both boys and girls of all ages.
The overall image of the film is tarnished. The overall image of all the films in the princess franchise has been tarnished.

Part of me wants that tin, but part of me thinks it’s too gaudy to live. I had the same Sophie’s choice with the TP&TF purse (which I now keep in my messenger bag

).

Thanks you, though that sucks for me, I missed it. I'm always late on even stuff that's important to me.

Well...compared to a beauty kit or a purse.

Don't make me so sad, I don't think it's too princessy yet. It seems just because of the pink and the...sparkles on the bank (?) you think it's too girly. I hope it gets released in theatres but I doubt it.

It's between her or Ariel, it probably will forever hover between them.

I 100% AGREE. Except no pins, I thought the pins were unecessary and didn't fit with the rest, and not the kind of thing most collectors of the films would want
that much.
