Actually the comment they have there is not mine, I commented before them. But she said the same thing. So there will be a coupon.

Now that would be a deal! I just try not spend more money than I have to on the things I buy, whether wants or needs, and it can't hurt to share deals with others.

What region?

I don't understand...dvdbeaver says it's region A while on the slipcover it says Region ABC. Who should I trust on this?

Axelmusic confirmed it as region free.

That's a bit worrying...normally Gary and the DVDBeaver team are very thorough when it comes to region specifications on Blu-ray.

Also confirmed region free by <a href="http://bluray.liesinc.net/">bluray.liesinc.net</a>.

Does anyone know if you "lock-in" a price when you reserve a title at TRU, or will I still be able to get it cheaper if the price goes down before release day?
Oddly enough, we haven't even gotten our shipment of Alice yet.... usually we have them in a few weeks before so I'm not sure what's going on. Toys R Us is horrible at restocking after Christmas.. we literally have no Disney DVDs in our store and they just recently RTV'd (return to vendor) all of our Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story 3 DVDs.

But anyway, I can tell you that we don't price match. When you pre-order, you just put down a $5 (or $10 depending on the product) deposit and pay the rest when it comes in. There generally aren't even prices on our pre-orders! So no, you're definitely not locked into a price. And you may actually save $10 if you pre-order Bambi.. I've been waiting to pre-order mine and haven't actually checked out the card yet so I'm not sure.. but recently it's been a $10 savings on blu ray titles. I always just tell people to pre-order for $5 if they're buying a blu ray because even if they never come and pick it up, they're still saving $5.

No word on a sale price yet.

Cool remix!

Dear DancingCrab,

I love the video, too! The intro., the sync., etc., were all perfect! The Caterpillar still looked superb, of course, even though his cross side was really showing. Wow! Great job!

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Thanks for the information Patrick. I'm hoping Toys R Us has a sale price similar to Best Buy, since I'd rather buy the title at TRU.

Wow, 4 days before the release and still no coupon. Disney is really waiting until the last minute on this one, unless we aren't getting it at all. Maybe there will be no coupon and they're "testing the market" to see how sales do without it? Maybe they've seen that Blu-ray sales are steadily increasing and they're ready to do away with the coupons... Just speculating, but I hope that that's not the case!

To be honest, I think it would be in their best interest to release a coupon considering so much Alice has been available recently. Whereas sales of the Tim Burton film may not effect this so much, sales of the Un-Anniversary edition that they released with it surely will. If this didn't look so good and I wasn't such a completist, I'd be satisfied with both the Masterpiece and Un-Anniversary editions I already own.

Very true, I was just thinking about that this morning, too. With all the releases they've flooded the market with, they need to give those who already bought a recent copy more of an incentive to upgrade, besides the obvious update in video/audio quality.

Amazon.com has updated their pre-order price to $19.99 today, to match Best Buy's. I wonder if this lower than average price is a sign that we are not getting a coupon. I can't imagine getting this for $9.99 with coupon, but if that is the case, I won't complain!

Well, we're getting a coupon. But it's not for AiW. Instead, it's for that ridiculous Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 movie. :x

Yeah, I saw that and I was like "Whaaa---?" Luckily, I have a Best Buy coupon available that I haven't used yet at the ready.

And calm down with the red angry face emoticons, DisneyJedi. Pretty so UD will run out of those to pass around, if you keep hogging them all. :P

Don't rule out a coupon just yet, I just tried entering my Alice in Wonderland VHS UPC at DMR, and got the message "This code isn't live."

Then, as a test, I entered the UPC for Bambi, which resulted in the message "Unknown code!"

I think similar results were posted here before by someone else who tried the same thing (either that or it was on Blu-ray.com), but I just wanted to confirm that it looks like the coupon code has been set up at DMR, but just not "published" or "made live" yet.

I'm hoping they surprise us at the last minute.

Is that wishful thinking or do you know something we don't? lol

$9.99 doesn't seem that outlandish, seeing as though BATB was $12.99 with coupon, and this is only a 1 disc Blu-ray release, while BATB was 2 BD.

THe fact remains that there will be a code for *at least* $8.

Now combined with BBs price, and suddenly $9.99 isnt far-fetched at all.

However, I am still getting the "not live" message when I enter my VHS UPC... :? Maybe everything is not 100% ready to go yet.

Nice! I get an expired message when I try to visit the coupon site. I don't think the coupon is up right now, but its nice that one is available. Can't wait to pick this up for $9.99 next week!
