Yes, well, that is true. I'm just trying not to think about that since it makes me mad.

Expect that to come from now on with the rest of the diamond editions and 2-Discers. I've got a feeling the rest of the future DVDs will be treated the same way.

Aww, hell no! They can do this to Snow White. But if they do this to my Fantasia, I am going to be most displeased, most displeased indeed....

  Here here, Fantasia should get the best care a Disney film could recieve. They bet'ter fill Fantasia/2000: Diamond Dvd to the brim.

Honestly, if they just repackaged the anthology edition with the film fully uncut, I would be happy. Anything less will make me very mad.

Considering how they handled a re-releases of sleeping beauty and snow white (ie. redo the bonus features from scratch) I'm kind of doubtful of that... :(

I actually bought the Snow White Platinum Edition last week. I'm glad I did. I love the features on it. The restoration on it isn't that bad either I don't think. I'm still picking up the new 2-Disc Dvd for the restoration and such..

Well, OK, maybe I won't be very angry if the "Fantasia" releases aren't perfect, since the movies are what I enjoy most. But still, it defintiely deserves a wonderful release! And, I will be angry if it's still censored. I really, really don't like censorship.

Well, I do like censoring if it was done originally. Not after a movie has already been released! I do have a bad feeling about the Fantasia re-releases but we just gotta wait and see. :)

It will be interesting to see how they pull it off on a high-def transfer. That cropping during "Pastoral Symphony" looked really obvious and pretty lousy on a DVD, so I imagine it would look correspondingly worse on blu-ray.

I haven't popped in either DVD yet, but I'm just taking a look at the DVD Guide insert. Is it just me or is there one bonus feature repeated twice (once per disc)? I see "Some Day My Prince Will Come" by Tiffany Thornton listed as being on each disc. What the heck? :?

It's just that good.

But seriously, that would be hilarious if they included it twice instead of putting, oh, something of substance.

I went through the two discs quickly. There are two bonus features that are repeated! Um, ok... the two that are repeated are the Tiffany Thornton music video, and The Princess and the Frog sneak peek. Why twice Disney? There could've been some nice featurette in place of these on disc 1.

Since this version came out, I'm hoping Platinum Editions show up in 2nd hand stores or Pawn shops. if I see one I'll pick-up a Platinum edition too.

Is "Goddess Of Spring" or any other Silly Symphonies on this new 2-DVD release? Thanks!

Hey,
Im pondering whether I should buy the new 2-disc dvd, but I don't really know what the special features are (I;ve been waiting for the Ultimate Disney review, but its not there -yet at least).

Can someone who bought the dvd already list the special features?

Generally, the blu-ray review also lists DVD features that aren't exclusive to the BD, so you can look there. I'll give you a hint: anything that's not the Hyperion Tour is on the DVD.

That also means that none of the shorts are on the DVD, because they're part of the Hyperion Studios Tour.

Oh, no! I was looking forward to owning "Goddess of Spring" almost as much as I was looking forward to owning Snow White! No!!

I think this next two weeks will be the ideal time to get a second-hand copy of the original Snow White Platinum release on DVD. If you wait too long, people may realise the new release is inferior in many respects and not only will demand for the Platinum go up, but less may appear on the market as a result.

I know its not ideal - especially if you have to resort to using eBay or similar web sites which are potentially rife with piracy (and you're unable to view the discs before purchasing) but hopefully a few copies will be around and available in your local area which you can see and hold before parting with your money.

The new 2-disc DVD will be around for a lot longer, but it looks like availability and pricing of the Platinum is higher and lower than for a long time because of the new DVD release.

Actually, the Snow White blu ray review doesnt say which features are on the standard Dvd. There is a "classic dvd features", but thats just the title of a section within the blue ray. And certain features are presented in Standard defitionion, but I can't just assume THOSE will be the ones in the regular 2-dvd set.

So again, can someone list the special features on the 2-disc dvd?
