Here's my tribute to Norway. This is belated since I was on the road between New Orleans and Orlando, so I obviously can't add points, just offer kind words. Maelstrom/Norway is actually probably in my Epcot top 4 or 5, so I would have fought harder to save it if the Seas wasn't also in the process of losing points at the same time, as that is top 2 or 3 for me. Anyway, I enjoy the Maelstrom, especially the trolls, puffins, and polar bears! The short exit movie is nice and I like the nightime atmosphere of the boat exit area. Also, I like how the pavillion had both an art gallery and live music, and I like the architecture and pavillion music loop. Over all, this is one of the best Showcase pavillions, IMO. Speaking of the live music, the reason I said "had" is word is that the talented, catchy Spelmann's Gledje folk group were sadly let go recently as part of the same wave of budget cuts that claimed the AK Pocahontas show and the Four For A Dollar group at the Studios park, who did the Beauty and the Beast preshow. So, this post is dedicated to Spelmann's Gledje - for my taste, one of the very best of the Showcase live music groups. They will be missed. As of now, Norway is the only Showcase pavillion with NO live entertainment.

I have been unable to post for the last few days, which is why my tribute to the Seas is sadly belated and without points. It's great to have a (new) classic dark ride back in the pavillion, which has quickly become a fave dark ride of mine, and which is icing on the cake, but for me the heart of the pavilion is actually the gigantic tank featuring live critters from the "big blue world", as well as the additional tanks featuring manatees and other animals. The main tank is the second largest aquarium tank in the US (behind only Atlanta's) and seeing all the fish, turtles, dolphins, rays, etc, in the tank, set to relaxing, tranquil, background music, is very inspiring. It's always a treat to watch the fish feed and dolphin presentations, where the dolphins showcase their intelligence. My faves are the manatees, Bock and Lou, who have their own tank. Manatees are among the most majestic, gentle, peaceful and beautiful creatures in the animal kingdom in my eyes, with their diet consisting solely of plants. Yet they have to worry about serious injury or even death not because of predators, but because of motorboats that exceed the speed limit in their habitat. So, this post is dedicated to all the beautiful critters in the "big blue world" but especially to my friends the manatees, Bock and Lou!

Hallo! Ich genieße Deutschland pavillion, wenn auch es keine Fahrt oder Film hat. Ich genieße die klassische Geschichtenbuch-Lebkuchen-Architektur sehr viel! Ich genieße die Biergarten-Show, und die Nacht-Atmosphäre innerhalb des Restaurants. Ich genieße auch den Miniaturzug-Garten, und die pavillion Hintergrundmusik!
