Hmm.... hopefully, we might see The Black Cauldron there, too. Of course, it's not likely, but it would be swell.

I can see Black Cauldron appearing the franchise, The Horn King would be a great advesary to battle. And the cauldron could be a boss battle too.

This game is very crucial to setting up KH3.

As for TJB world, it's been online for over a week. I know, I should've mentioned it before but I forgot. The data was found on the disc, similar to the Pinnocchio portraits for Days. They kept it there after deleting it because removing it would've meant more work in order to keep the rest of the game intact.

EDIT: I finally get it. Kathryn Beaumont is credited in the games because she's Maleficent now.

This might not be the right place to post, but Nintendo has announced a Kingdom Hearts game for their new system, the 3DS.

Also, don't know if you guys heard, but Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is coming to the DS. Coded was originally a series released for mobile phones in Japan.

Since reconnect hasnt been given much mention, I wonder if the 3DS game will be either that or a remake of Days. Or maybe its the Mystery Game that's been hearing about.

This has been confirmed to be a new game, not a remake.

And yes, this is the game that Nomura has been talking about.

Cool! I've always wanted to play coded, but the mobile phone thing was kinda throwing me off. Can't wait!

Does that mean KH3? Or the "period of Riku's absence"? I think it's more likely the second, since I can't see putting a big sequel on a smaller platform.

The graphics look like they *could* stun people(I mean, it's a Beta)

and KH3 is not in production quite yet. Nomura's team is working on Final Fantasy vs 13. considering all the other games were made by other production teams, he wants the same people who started the series to make the big numbered games.

I seriously quite caring about Kingdom Hearts 3 a long time ago. Then, factor in another 3 years to actually make the game (the same amount of time it took to make the second game) and you're looking at a 2014/15 release date. By then, whatever console they decide to develop it on will be outdated and it will have been an entire decade since the second installment was released.

Like I said, I just don't care anymore.

^Technically Chain of Memories was the second game.

That said, KH2 suffered from very bad writing. They had a different writer then. The preview for KH3 was actually a Birth By Sleep preview, and the other one likely for Coded. Days had a nice STANDALONE story, but not much else to offer. BBS is said by many to be the best of the series as of yet. so dont give up hope entirely. Also, the game is likely in Pre now, and they might just start production in a matter of months as people from FF begin to end their roles on that project. We could be talking 2013, which seems to be the rumored timeframe.

This is exactly how I feel. I loved KH 1. It was a neat little concept that worked very well despite a few rugged edges. But then with Chain of Memories things started going downhill. The story got unnecessary complicated, the characters even more superfluous and nothing made sense anymore.

This is Square Enix milking the cow dry. They could have jumped directly into 3 and have it over with. But no. Instead, we get spin off after spin off after spin off, each one further damaging the great story with more complicated nonsense.

^Nonsense? Even if I played every game only once, it would make a lot of sense. I dont disagree that KH1 IMO is the best so far, but I have enjoyment for all the other games and, in the US, there have only been 4. There are still some gripping storylines, and the milking makes sense because of all the world possibilities. also, the end may be in sight. all the side games are meant to tie into KH3. From there on, if even that, it's likely another story altogether. It's complicated, but so is Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and a whole shitload of fantasy franchises.

I feel as if there should be a separate thread for KH3D and KHRe:C.
