Disney Duster wrote:Daniel Jake, wow, I didn't think you'd post. Sorry to kind of bring you out into the open here. I just wante to point out that the people over at Animated News who saw the sneak peek didn't quite see the whole scenes. Its a rushed version. By the way, your Sonic avatar is cool. Sonic will always be cool because he's old school. If they brought him back in CGI or something, that would be weird. But he should have a classic comeback or something...
Well, surprise than! ^^
Eh, its cool! I've been meaning to posts, but have busy/shy -- haha.
Aww, thanks for the complament, Disney Duster! I'll probably use it over here, when I get to my 50 posts requirement!
Btw, my feeling exactly, about the Sonic comeback! ^_^

Wow, going at midnight is dedication! I actually pre-ordered the movie at Suncoast Video, and it comes with a free poster!
That's the word! I couldn't remember, so I used anxious/exited. Meh, you still got the jist! =P
I know, I'm so gonna be freezing, but its sooo worth it!
Omg, you preorder!? Lucky! What's the picture on the poster, if I may ask?

OLD FISH TALE thanks for the picture. It looks like a promotional one but it still cool to see Cinderella just standing there hopless wondering how to fix the spell.
I've been thinking a while about the films marketing stratagy. If they really want to market it to both genders, then will that mean there will be merchandise for boys and girls based on this movie? And Cinderella has been marketed for years as only for girls so wouldn't it be hard to change peoples opinion in a matter of weeks?
And I've been thinking about how Gus and Jaq geet the key before the duke even arrives (unlike the original) and how it doesn't make alot of sense. But I think it wouldn't have mattered because the Stepmother probably would have remembered about Cinderella having the other slipper and done something about it eventually.
AND ONE FINAL Note. If there are going to be flashbacks in this movie then I hope there wont be too much recycled animation.

I don't think so, beacause in that 8-minutes trailer we saw in youtube, Cinderella's wedding scene seems to be reanimated- the Prince's uniform has different colours!

I was thinking of the part where the Stepmother says "She's exactly where I left her" and we see her crying at her door then looking through the key hole

That sucks that Disney isn't releasing a trilogy set since I was hoping to get the whole thing in one set.

I unfortunately don't know because I'm only recieving it the day I go in to pick up the DVD. They didn't have a picture of it, either. I'm guessing it's just the DVD cover blown up, but I'm hoping it's something cooler, like a collage of all the different scenes or something. I'll let you know when I get it!

Well, actually, they re-animated that scene too. If they didn't, it wouldn't match the other animation because, try as they might, they will never be able to match the original's beauty exactly. But they certainly did a great job!:

The original is the first one. The re-animated one is on the second one. I know there's a huge difference in color, but that could be because they painted the scene based on the un-restored version of the movie, and perhaps the un-restored scene looked different. Also, the video I took the re-animated screencap from was the Disney Motion one, which is brighter than the New York Times video.

Well at least they tried. I prefer the darker blues of the original, but that's just me.
Another thing I've noticed in the trailer is how the wallpaper in the original was more blue and in the new film it's purple. The old one looked better.

Thats a surprise! I wonder why they wouldn't have part II? Unless, they really are trying to pretend like it never existed. Which is a shame.
Moving on, that's one nice cover! It looks so fancy. ^^

Oh, I see. Haha, that's weired. But maybe it will be a big surprise! Here's hoping for something awesome, and if not, the blown up pic would do just fine, it really is a beautiful picture!
Many thanks!
Btw, (this is to everyone) do you suppose Wal-Mart's going to offer a 2-disc set? I know they often do this, and Peter's getting an additional 3rd disc, so I'm just curious.

Did they rotoscope the scene with Cinderella at her door and the "Us a'comin', Cinderelly!" (Jaq and Gus) scene for the III? Except for the side table, it looks like they sort of did. I'm glad that they didn't use the original because it would look out of place with the rest of the movie.

I think Disney is honoring their "In the Disney Vault" status DVDs since Cinderella II was put in the vault with other sequels. I think the only times they betrayed their own "Vault" system was for Toy Story (for the 10th Anniversary DVD) and Toy Story 2 (for the Woody's Round-up Edition DVD).
A few more weeks and Cinderella III is here!!!!!!! Maybe I should preorder it from Amazon (and support UD at the same time!) and have it mailed...

Oh, yeah! I completly forgot about that, because of the (somewhat recent) Special Edition release!
Yay, only a few more weeks!!

Cinderella III: Promotional Images!

I forgot,
Old Fish Tale, I'm
very impressed with what you found. You also made me pretty happy, because with that one picture of Cinderella watching her prince and her stepsister together, I'm excited to see if that happens in the film. Even when she's in the dress she wore when she met him, he can't remember!
I really like the promotional images they make for the Disney sequels, and I've never been able to find large, full versions of any of the ones for
Cinderella III: A Twist In Time! But I finally found a site that seems to have all the ones that were made, though they are rather blurry...

:
Cinderella III: Promotional Image Bonanza!
It seems that originally they were planning on either Tremaine or Drizella finding the wand first, as Anastasia is nowhere in the scene in the garden. Cinderella's also present in that scene, which shows they planned on having her know about the twisting of time from the start of it, I guess.
I also don't understand why Cinderella, the Prince, and the Fairy Godmother are all at the anniversary party with the stepfamily. Even Lucifer is there! This can't be the end of the movie, because the part with the anniversary party happens in the beginning of the movie. Why would Cinderella invite her stepfamily to her anniversary party...especially when the party was supposed to be a surprise for her? It looks like they really changed things a lot in the final, finished film!

Oooh thanks for those, I hadn't seen the one with Prince and Cinderella in the middle with the other characters on the side.

What she doesn't make it down in time? Tremaine is inferior and must be deleted.

Oh, bradhig, your comments are so awesome. Remember, those were just promotional images. The coloring book you read would be more true to the final film. But don't say what you read in this thread...we're trying to be spoiler-free in here.

Those promotional images definitely need to be taken with a grain of salt. It seems they're more concerned with attracting people's attention than emulating what the movie is actually like. If we were to properly take the still with Tremaine with the wand in the garden literally, it wouldn't make any sense at all for Cinderella to be wearing her rags if she stumbles upon the scene (and don't get me started on her hair in all of the pics). Also, that pic with everyone together image is just a cast group shot, nothing more. Disney movies have group shots quite often that don't correlate with any specific scene. DVD covers (and especially the older VHS covers) are perfect examples of this.

The cover for the box set is absolutely beautiful! I already have the Cinderella special edition, so I won't get it (unless there is some sort of new feature that is otherwise unavailable). But, still, a beautiful cover!
I don't really mind, but am a little amused, that Cinderella II is being completely ignored. In my opinion, it's a pretty dire film! Perhaps the lack of attention paid to Cinderella II will make it notoriously collectible, like the Star Wars Holiday Special.
